I thought so. This is certainly going to make my shopping brutal this year.

There was another thread going that isn't there now. I'm not sure why it got deleted. :x

At any rate, there are several of us from the area. I live between Rocky Mount, and Martinsville. We have some others on here from Roanoke though! (also from the NRV)

I'm about two hours south of Roanoke down along the Tennessee line. Not really local, but local in comparison to a lot of the folks on this board.

There is someone else from Roanoke on here as well. I wish I could remember who it was and it irritates me that the post was deleted for no reason from the local talk. It was from this year!

It's me! It's me! I'm from Roanoke! LOL

I'm still debating on whether I really wanna do Valley View this year...last year was just too much...I was exhausted! Got some great deals though!

My lil boy is gonna be 9 and we are considering getting him a laptop or maybe a desktop computer. He wants a tablet but I'd rather spend the money on a nice computer that he can use at his desk..

Scored the Lego City Mine set today at Valley View for 39.97 though! Can't beat that price!

I'm not a fan of VV on BF... I like to stay away because while everyone is there, you can go everywhere else and avoid the crowds! :)

Have you checked the tablets on bensoutlet? We got our son (who is 8) a tablet from there, it was only $150 which is perfect for a kid!

VV Walmart? Did they have a lot left? Did you have to take anything to have them pricematch, or was this normal price? We didn't get an ad in the paper for Walmart on Sunday like others did.

I'm so scared he is gonna break a tablet, I've had to replace his DS twice already, I swear he beats the screen..lol

I ended up getting the set at Target and they price matched it for me. They had one left at the Target here, Valley View WM told me they had it but when I got there they had looked at the wrong set.

If you can find it at Walmart, it should be 39.97 normal price til tomorrow- they didn't retract the offer. I know Altavista had some according to the website, along with alot the WM's in Lynchburg- go to WM.com and see if its available close to you. Really is a good deal on the set!

We just went to the one in Rocky Mount, they had it but it's not the whole mine set. It's just 2 of the trucks. The picture on the box looked deceiving!

I ordered it online and will pick it up from the one in Martinsville next week. I'm not going to even attempt going there this weekend. Since it's race weekend, NASCAR has taken over the city and it's hectic.
