Finally get everything in my cart and it doesn't hold onto my information. How does this guest checkout work? I wanted to use some bestbuy reward bucks and it keeps telling me to make an account (it won't let me sign in from the checkout screen it appears). Any solution for this?

you have to check out as a guest for it to go through, no rewards, no free 2 day shipping for elite :(

Guess I'll try later then. That's really a slap in the face, I'm elite Plus

Decided to give the link posted in the previous page of posts a try. https://www-ssl.bestbuy.com/checkout/r/fulfillment DID work, held onto my data, I received an email confirmation, and was able to apply my best buy rewards bucks. Too bad 2-day shipping isn't honored but not dealing with the crowds... worth the wait. Thanks to the previous poster who gave us this link. When I read the post initially and looked at the address in my browser they appeared the same but there is a very important r/ before fulfillment.

edit: of course they calculated taxes AFTER I authorized the payment on PayPal so now I suspect it will be canceled. I'm going to bed. This is a big fail

I got my confirmation and they didn't charge tax? It seriously says 0.00..

As for shipping for elite plus, there were issues with the 2 day shipping during the early access sale. BB recognized the mistake and said in the BB forums they would honor the 2 day shipping deal. Everything I ordered Monday was delivered yesterday despite my order saying Friday or Monday. Maybe they will do the same for your order since you were able to log in! :)

I noticed that they didn't charge tax on me either and thought it was a mistake. I'm in Virginia as well. I'm not sure if they'll eat the cost or what. I wouldn't imagine they could go back and charge more than authorized.

@ SoDangPretty I hope they honor the 2-day shipping now, that would be great.

As far as tax collecting goes, they will take it (at least they took it from me and I'm glad, I didn't want to deal with a canceled order). Woke up to 2 charges with Paypal: one for the amount of the order pre-tax balance I had authorized, and another smaller charge for the tax-only portion. My order does say expected Weds instead of Friday now but I think 2-day would technically be Tuesday?

There were about 15-20 people already in line at my local Best Buy when I passed by a half hour ago. (The temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit in my area.) I also saw a Santa Claus in the parking lot, but I'm not sure what he was doing there.

Went by last night and there were 5 tents up at 7pm. The temp was 30 degrees last night. I couldn't believe there were people there.

Best buy near me had 60 people in line at 3pm. Tickets given out at 4pm. Unfortunately they only had about 40 tickets for the $179 Samsung so I didn't get a ticket. Bummed!

Everything else they had more than enough tickets.

Don't need a TV this year, so I'll be skipping BB rush. Son wants an Apple laptop, so I'll have to see if anything appears in that category (anywhere).
