Store opens 8am Thursday

The items on the first page of the ad are only available on Thanksgiving, when Dollar General will be open from 7AM to 8PM. You can shop in-store or from the comfort of your couch on the Dollar General website. One of the best deals available on Thanksgiving is the Alcatel Onetouch Pixi Glitz No-Contract Smartphone, which will be available for just $1.00. The phone has triple minutes for life, so although you'll have to buy a minute card for it, you'll get 3 minutes for every 1 minute purchased. If you know someone who needs a phone, like a grandparent or a child that walks home from school, this is a fantastic deal for a phone that is capable of the basics.

The rest of the ad is filled with items that will be on sale from Thanksgiving until November 28th, so you have a bit more wiggle room. Stores like Dollar General are great for a few reasons. You can get inexpensive basics for your home, like 50% off Candles or BOGO Free Command Hooks. You can also find some seriously inexpensive stocking stuffers, like $10 Licensed Kids' Gift Sets or BOGO 75% off toys!

The 2 for $15 infinity characters making them $7.50 each is an all time low for characters! I think the cheapest we saw them last year was Buy 2 get 1 free which made them around $8.50.

Castrol retails for $4.50 per quart, BOGO equals 50% off and that's a deal.

Not sure if the cell accessories will be worth the cost.

Last year, Pep Boys had the 5qt and filter for $10 after rebate

I'll go just to clear out their entire Chunky soup inventory... That stuff is normally almost $3 a can around here! ;)

Keep in mind that's conventional motor oil, you should be able to find any for around 2.25/qt year round. Like lwmjr said, I'd hold out for the Pepboys ad if you have a store nearby, they always have deeper discounts on motor oil after rebate. Advance Auto occasionally has deals on conventional oil change "bundles" (filter and 5qts for $15) year round.

That's about the regular price at our local grocery stores as well, Walmart tends to have them on "sale" for $1.50 regularly. We don't eat many canned soups but at $1/can you can't go wrong :)

They great to keep at lunch when you don't feel like bringing anything and don't want to eat out. If you have access to a microwave.
That's usually the only time I eat them.

Chunky soup when it isn't on sale in my area is around $2.89 per can. I usually only buy it when they do their 2/$3 at the local grocery stores. We eat a ton of soup over the winter since it gets so cold here in PA. I usually just make my own soup, but these are great to keep on hand for the boys after they're done shoveling and snowblowing. Plus, there are days that I don't feel like cooking, so my boys are content just eating this instead. I'm probably going to buy a case lol.
