BF restock question

Postby angelmse » Mon Nov 17, 2014 4:53 pm

SO I am thinking, ugh it hurts  , once the rush is over..... maybe Walmart and Target will restock sometime early am and if I miss out on something, that would be a 2nd chance to grab it. Movies, PJ'S, maybe even Video games.
What ya'll think? I am trying to plan my night.

Usually they do not restock. They're called "doorbusters" for a reason. :)

They usually do not restock once items are sold out. Last year I was able to get PJs at walmart around 10am but those were just the left overs from the previous evening rush.

Yeah the closest to restocking would probably be rolling out sales that start on Saturday or Sunday.

Otherwise they would be hounded with even more "CAN YOU CHECK THE BACK" requests.

You used to be able to get a fair amount of target deals until late Friday or Saturday but now stuff goes pretty fast.

There won't be any restocking but you can often scavenge around to find some movies and video games that folks "overgrabbed" in the moment and then began laying back around store as they weeded down their selections (or returned at checkout unpurchase.) Those usually arent the "hot" titles.

So if you can't make doorbuster time, try online, otherwise "let it go."

This year I might try the strategy of shopping "go-backs"-- those carts in the front of the store with abandoned merchandise waiting to be reshelved. However, I'm not sure how many doorbusters I'll find in the go-back carts.

I always have good luck with movies/games/clothing after the doorbuster rush has passed. They usually get left around the store, and around the check outs.

that must depend on the store - i've never had that luck with our local stores the past few years. i used to be able to find leftovers up until saturday night but now by Friday night the bins are usually pretty well empty or gone all together.

Thx all for info. My pal that works at Target told me, they DO keep pallets in the back to put out through Saturday, since the sale runs thru Sat. I was thinking minus the doorbusters, Walmart might do the same thing. Thanks for the idea of checking the "put backs" carts.

I haven't had the same experience with Wal mart but things like videos, games and some clothes they for sure do at target.
