I am so mad, and have nobody to be mad at but myself...

I saw this sale was for Red Card holders, so I went and signed up for a Target credit card (Red Card) and when I was finished it asked me if I wanted to shop now using my card, or wait for it to come in the mail. This was at 7am when only 1 eye was open, so I clicked wait on it to come in the mail. Now I can't shop using my Red Card because I don't have the card nor the number. SO I can't buy the stuff from Target that I wanted. I called their customer service, and "Tim from Kentucky" (aka the Indian guy with 19 syllables in his name including 16 vowels) couldn't help me, nor give me my account number for security. GAH I am so disappointed in myself for clicking the wrong thing.

I applied for the credit card. I didn't really want the debit card. It is funny, I laugh at myself for doing something at 7am..

Does the debit card have to go through your checking or can you run it through your savings?
The cashier today was giving me the hard sell!!

Hmmmm not sure! I had to give a blank check to apply so not sure what you would do for savings.
You should have done it :)

When you apply online, it asks for your checking account number. So I would assume it goes through your checking account.

That is what I thought. we get DH's paycheck deposited into savings then we transfer the money for bills to checking. So a debit from checking wouldn't work b/c there is rarely any money in there!

everytime you make a purchase at target, just transfer the money into your account ;) it takes almost a week for the target to take the money out of your account.

Haha DH would freak out if i did that. And then I'd have to remember to hit up the bank or ATM to do so (they charge if you do more than 3 a month online, and we have 2 automatic ones already). I need a job to pay for my Target habit!!!

BF Question... I want to get the sodastream... I looked and it isn't on the map. Will it be where in normally is or wil it be with the other small appliances (Keurig, vacuums and something else was mentioned). It's not a doorbuster.

It will probably be in its regular area in the store.
