Went by Best Buy in Norwalk, CT tonight at about 7:45 and there was nobody camping yet. If I didn't value my time so much, have plans for Thanksgiving with my family, and actually see something in the ad worth waiting for I would have considered being first on line.

Best Buy's Doorbuster FAQs

Close

What are the store hours?

BestBuy.com is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Most Thanksgiving Day ad items will be available for purchase on BestBuy.com starting on Thanksgiving Day, November 22.
All retail stores will be closed for Thanksgiving but will open at 12 a.m. on Friday, November 23.
Stores will open at 12 a.m. on Friday, November 23, and close at 10 p.m.
Stores will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, and close at 10 p.m.
Please note that on Friday, November 23 all our Massachusetts stores will open at 1 a.m.; Our Paramus, New Jersey stores will open at 7 a.m.; and our Fox Point, Wisconsin store will open at 5 a.m.
As a result of Storm Sandy, Store 1069 in Lawrence, NY will remain closed at this time.
Additional store hours can be found through our Store Locator.

What time will tickets be handed out to customers?

Each store will decide when to hand out tickets in the two hours before store opening.
Stores base their decisions on multiple factors, including the length of the line, the weather, and store personnel levels.
Tickets will be handed out until they are gone. Lines tend to form early, and Best Buy is unable to guarantee that all customers will receive a ticket.

How will tickets be provided prior to store opening?

A line of customers will form outside of Best Buy stores, and tickets will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
In most cases, tickets will be handed out by store personnel prior to store opening.
Best Buy reserves the right to refuse to provide a ticket or service to anyone at Best Buy's sole discretion.
Best Buy will cancel ticketing and line formation if customer participation is deemed unlawful by local law enforcement agencies.

How many tickets can each customer get?

Each customer is eligible to receive one ticket per applicable item. If a customer wants to purchase 10 different items, then he or she is eligible to receive one ticket (if applicable) for each of those 10 items.
All customers in line are eligible to receive a ticket based on ticket availability.
Customers are not required to be an adult to receive a ticket.

By what time is a customer required to redeem the ticket?

Each ticket includes a time deadline for when it must be redeemed.
Why is it necessary to have a ticket to purchase select products?

Ticketing will help to ensure the safety of both Best Buy customers and employees when the stores open. Tickets also help to ensure that those customers who arrive first can purchase the products they want.
What are Doorbusters?

Doorbuster products are select limited-quantity items in the Thanksgiving Day advertisement in your local newspaper. If you do not receive a copy of the advertisement, it can be viewed on the digital insert at
blackfriday.bestbuy.com.
What products require tickets?

Select front-cover items, page-2 items, and other limited-quantity items from our Thanksgiving Day advertisement will require tickets.

The ticket will grant the customer the ability to buy the item for a limited time.
What if I previously purchased a product at Best Buy and the price is now lower in your Friday advertisement, TV ads, or on BestBuy.com? What if I find a lower price available at a Best Buy competitor on Friday?

The Best Buy Price Match Guarantee does not cover items for sale Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving.
What is Best Buy's holiday gift return and exchange policy?

For your convenience, we offer an extended holiday return and exchange policy during the holiday season.
Are there any errors in the Thanksgiving Day ad?

Yes, there are the following errors:

On page 9 of our Thanksgiving Day ad insert (Nov. 22-24) we advertised "SAVE $20 - get the $100 iTunes card for $80" offer with the following disclaimer: Markdowns taken from regular prices. Offer available in store only. Limit of 5 per customer. Offer not valid for use with digital codes online. Valid for physical iTunes cards.
This is incorrect. This offer is available in store for physical iTunes cards and digital iTunes codes and on BestBuy.com for physical iTunes cards. All other terms still apply.
On page 6 of the Nov. 22-24 weekly insert, we advertised the Samsung - Smart Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player BD-ES5400S (SKU 6653282) as having the Hulu Plus app. This is incorrect. This Blu-ray player does not have the Hulu Plus app. This Player does have the You Tube app.

Layaway services (in Best Buy stores that have layaway services) will be limited and will vary by store during Thanksgiving weekend. Please see a Customer Specialist at the store for full details.

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience these errors may have caused.

It takes a super deal to draw me in BB's direction. Went for the $4 coffee maker. Got a confirmation number and a cancellation two hours later. Nice part is they emailed me a sorry note and a promo code for $10 off my next BB.com purchase. 8)
