Scalping Tickets @ BB

I have read a few threads talking about how ethical scalping tickets is. I am not worried about the morality of it, because I am planning on doing it for the 4th year in a row. Its an easy job for a student to make some cash while home for break, so i take advantage.

So I am wondering, do any of you have any tips/ tricks to scalping? I'll let you in a few of mine.

Usually there is a group of around 10-15 people that sit in a circle and socialize through the night. If you buddy up with me and are there for most of the night with me, I will not sell a ticket that you need, because there is too few tickets... don't be that guy.

Go with a partner. Split the profits on all your tickets. One person stays in the front, the other person goes to the back. The person in the back NEVER carries the big ticket item's vouchers or the cash you have made/ brought to spend on BF. You are just asking to get jumped.

You are not there to be nice and wait on people to go to the ATM and come back, you are there to make money. If someone says hold their ticket until they get back... tell them it will only be available if you don't sell it while they are gone.

Anyone else have any tips/tricks?

The best tip I can say, is don't do it.

Scalping is illegal here.

It's not illegal here unfortunately. Most people don't do it in line but some do and the employees don't care. Hey, why should they right?

Good 'ol indiana its only illegal to scalp boxing, NCAA, and superbowl tickets. Gotta love it.

Let's set aside legality.

I wouldn't buy a ticket from a scalper, ever.
I don't care if I camped out for 3 days to get a TV for $5, and the last person to get a ticket was in front of me. That's how bad I hate people who scalp tickets. I would go elsewhere and pay the normal price.

It takes the fun out of it. It would be different if you had a ticket and someone offered to pay you for it. But going for the sole reason to sell your ticket just doesn't seem very cool

You're not.

You'd swear it was human trafficking the way this thread has been hijacked. Reminds me of the Pro-Life tactics of operation rescue. Stand in front of the abortion clinics and kill the doctors.

I'm wanting a tv this year... if I can make a couple hundred to subsidize the cost, that would be nifty. Sucks being a student, but I don't have money to fling every which way.
