they're gone before the store opens. they hand out tickets. you have to camp out for computers and tv's that are really hot items.

what do you mean they hand out tickets? i went last year to kmart and stood in line, no one handed out tickets for anything and i assume there were doorbusters? there are movies, wii games, and a powerwheels that says doorbuster next to it at walmart. i also went to walmart last year and noticed some of the things that were bf prices were still the same prices a week later! anyways, thanks for the reply, i guess i'll just call the store.

Instead of having a mad dash inside the store with people trying to grab scarce items, some stores hand out tickets or vouchers ahead of time. They hand them out to people in line, starting at the front of the line. Only some stores do this.

What's with the misinformation?

Some 24-hour Walmart's remain open. However, others actually do close (at around midnight or so) and then re-open for the Black Friday sale.

I thought all 24-hour Walmarts remain opened? That's why they're 24 hour stores. They wouldn't be 24 hour stores if they didn't right? :?

Just so you all know. I went to the Best buy in East Hanover NJ in 2014. They have had ridiculous lines for the past few years, all for some lower cost TVs. The store opened at 6pm on Thanksgiving eve.

I drove over there at 9pm, three hours AFTER the store opened. I was wondering what doorbusters they may still have in stock. I didn't expect much.

What did I find? They had EVERY doorbuster in stock. They got smart and realized.. why sell 6 of these when we can sell 200?

So I was able to leisurely stroll the aisles and pick the doorbuster TV I was hoping to get.

I expect that again this year.. so if you plan to live in the lines this year, don't do it at Best Buy.
