That name is mentioned in the article above, I'm pretty sure. If you haven't yet, definitely read it. It changed my mind on what I was going to purchase!

Sorry about that. I only skimmed through the article and saw mostly stuff about Emerson. I'll go back and read :-) thanks!

I don't recommend the Element, if you decide to buy it, Target offers an inexpensive warranty, That you should purchase with the tv.

get a target red card or debit card and then you can most likely order online (and possibly BEFORE thursday) and you'll get free shipping and an additional 5% off :)

you'd think i work for target or something with the way i keep pushing people to get a redcard debit card lol

I would choose Samsung out of those 3. Not saying there is anything wrong with Vizio or LG.

A few years ago I bought a 55" sony 3d 240hz 1080p LED on black friday for $1248

It was 55% off, it was a steal.

Im extremely happy with it. The picture is great, sound is okay (how good do think sound is going to be from a tv that is 1.5 inches deep). Although I do have it hooked up to my surround sound system.

Also what is great about that purchase is a went into the store like 5 hours they opened. They started with only 4 in stock, and when I got there they had 4 in stock. I guess everyone was gushing over the doorbusters and not going for the bigger ticketed items.

Samsungs are nice however the profit margin in an LG is much more. If you have a store near you that will work on price, You will get the better deal on LG's. I got a 42" LG 120hz 1080p LCD for $549 (This is when retail was 1199.99)

i was going to get the samsung at target, but that's because i thought i had a samsung at home. which is actually a sony lol
but i've always heard good things about vizio and lg so i wasn't sure if one of the 3 was better.

i recall seeing some LGs for the similar price of the 32/37 samsung and vizio so now i will have to go find them again! :)

speaking of the 32 inch samsung at target, newegg currently has a refurbished model for 219 (i think target and walmart price is 227). in case anyone wants to save a little extra.

hmmm now i think i might try to get the 40" westinghouse for 199
since it's 1080p and 120hz. the samsung and vizio 32/37" are only 720 and 60hz

on 40" and smaller, there is not much difference
