Site overhaul

Postby teknoge3k » Mon Nov 12, 2012 11:53 am

Tony, Michael, someone...

Since the site has been tweaked a little the last few days and has a new look to it, you guys took away the store opening times that use to be on the shopping list. Can you please add this back? It comes in handy when you use the shopping list on bfads, since it has always had the opening times by each store. Thanks!!

Yup, they changed a lot of things on the site. It took me a while to find it but I ended up finding it. But they did take away the start times that was listed by each store that you have in your shopping list. That's uncool! lol

this new layout blows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have to sort thru 6 pages of Walmart crap to find all the early birds, door-buster items

what were they thinking??
why do they force me to go to another site to find quick info

http://www.blackfridayads.com/stores/29
even though its not sorted separately at least its all on one page!

i hate to say it but i probably wont be back.
except to see if they added the early bird sort feature.

So many people have left this site this year, it's sad. Especially the regulars. They ruined a good thing.

I think that the BFAds.net site is still in flux, so perhaps they'll re-add the feature.

It's not the same as using the web site, but if you have a spreadsheet program like Excel, you can use the deals spreadsheet to search/filter early bird deals.

(I have to go home and check whether the changes break anything in my deals-listings-to-spreadsheet scripts.)

This might be a little off topic but is there a way to ad things to your list while browsing the scan or can you only do it from the item list?

I think you can only do it from the listings, unfortunately. I wish you could click the adscan though and add it. That'd be nice.

It would be so much easier if you could. Oh well.

Also, under the categories section, I can no longer sort by price. I found that feature quite useful.

Eternal optimist at your service.

I am sure tweaking the site during peak ad releases has resulted in changes that are less than perfect for the moment BUT I would figure/hope the guys will get to tweaking the functions/layout once the ads start slowing down and also be in time for BF.
Logically, the shopping list is not solely used by forum users but anyone who scans the site sooooo there would be a bigger draw to correct the issues when the time is feasible. Shall we put some perspective on this? Have you seen how many ads came out? How many requests for pdf files to be worked on? Contests to manage? Multiple avenues to control facebook, twitter, website? I feel a headache coming on just typing it all let alone doing it all between what 4-5 people?

Now as my best friend would say (and if I offend know that I do think all of you rock)
let's all put on our big girl panties and suck it up. (more expletives are typically used when she says it) :P

I assume this was added? I noticed they were there when I went to printable list.
