Yes, they're selling a revamped Furby this year. The new Furby is more advanced and can interact with a smartphone app. I saw some in the store today and briefly thought about buying one (hoarding one for resale). I don't know how hot an item it will end up being this season.

Our Walmart has been out of Wii & 3DS systems for about a week now. I would assume the Wii is out because of many people doing layaway. But I don't know about the 3DS...I know a lot of kids (including my son) want one.

The Wii U. Most store sold out of the presales. They were gone the first 2 days. Every once in a while a store will release a few online, but normally gone in no time. I was able to get one on release date. Good luck to anyone looking for one!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say those Furbies will be clogging the clearance bins in February. The only people that will buy them are 30 year olds who had one (or DIDNT get one...) as a kid, and want to relive that nostalgia. But there's no TV show or video game tie in, and if you look at the stuff kids want now a days, there's way too much competition for stupid crap that interacts with your iphone. The main reason they were so popular and pricey is because the creators seriously underestimated the need for stupid gibberish talking animals, and so produced them in small numbers. Had they produced them in similar quantities I'm sure they have now, then there would never have been a run on them.

I also think that we will be seeing Furbys marked down after the holidays. Every store that I have been in recently has more Furbys than they know what to do with. I think for the little ones that the new Disney Princess Little People castle will be popular. At least two Walmarts by me are out and have been for about 3 weeks.

My sister in law already bought the princess pieces for my little girl, so I bet there's a good chance lots of people do that.

My sons both want Furby -- I'm just not sure I'm willing to pay $54 for them. Maybe if they are on sale.
