Oh I got deals, but I stood in line for 10 hours and got the same deal as someone sitting on their sofa at home.

And the deals this year, saying they suck would be an understatement.

As long as the Secret Items are in effect like last year, I'll be there.

Unless some super nice "secret" sales are revealed, I'm sitting this one out. The last two years I did incredibly well, however online sales were sometimes better than in stores. This year, so far the ads are a joke.

I have a feeling we'll have much lower prices AFTER Black Friday, due to economy going from Bad to Worse to Oh Crap. YMMV.

Is this lousy or am I cheap?

Postby packratfamily » Wed Nov 19, 2008 10:31 am

(We had a large income cut this year due to layoff and new lower paying job but)
pricewise methinks that there has been nothing special that I have seen in any ads to even make me want to scrounge up some cash. And we will need a tv come February. (guess I'll drag out all of the old vcr tapes and watch reruns)
Does anyone else think that the prices are NOTHING to shout about? :?:

I didn't quite know how to vote. I won't be camping out or anything, BUT I won't be at home either. I'll be at a hotel and I'll be up early enough to hit the stores that open at 4am.

About the only place I am gonna go to is Walmart. It has said on there tv ad that they will match any advertized prices even BF ad prices. Other then that I am not wasting my time. I honestly have not seen anything worth going stand in line for other then walmart and knowing they are gonna be price matching. I have noticed several items posted that are that price all the time.
