Question: Where is the database of all Black Friday items?

Postby BFVet » Mon Nov 23, 2015 7:34 pm

I thought there used to be a think where you could search for, say, "laptops" and see all the laptop deals from all of the black friday ads. Has that feature gone the way of the Dodo bird?

There's a search bar on the main page. The results include blog posts as well as individual items, but they're separated by category (article vs sale item or whatever). I think the results will include stuff from previous years too though.

As jeanerz said, the search box is at the top of the BFAds.net home page. Here is the search for "laptop" Black Friday items:

(I think the "results include items from last year" problem might have been fixed.)

That search is horrendous. There is a spreadsheet that is much better.

I think someone created that database in year's past. It was really handy!

That's not the one I'm talking about. In the past someone created a file that had drop down boxes so you could select a certain item and it would pull up all of the listings that contained that item.

Just open it in Excel and select Data / Filter.

then just type in the text search in the description column filter.

Thanks I will try that!
I can do a basic search and create a formula that adds, subtracts, or multiples cells together but that's about it for me in excel lol
