rave walmart

Postby sf49erfreak » Mon Dec 16, 2013 1:18 am

on black friday I waited in line at walmart for over 2 hours to get the moto x cell phone with the giftcard. I was like 5th inline and the first one who wanted that phone. When I got up to the front of the line I was told that they didnt have any of that phone that they never received any. But the store manager got right on it and called corporate or somebody about it to see about getting me one. That day I left with the store managers name and personal number and the store number and electronics dept guys number and a promise to get that phone for that black friday price. Well I called and left the manager a message and never heard anything. Then on december 3rd I got a call from a lady that works in the cell phone department and she told me they have looked everywhere and were having no luck and they offered me a 50 dollar giftcard toward a different phone. I told them I didnt want a different phone and asked if i could order it online and have them match my price and they said yes. So I ordered it online and when it came I took it to walmart and they had a mgr return it and resell it to me for the black friday price and give me the gift card proving there really are nice caring people who care about there customers.

Glad you had good luck with them! Sucks it was such an ordeal to do and they didn't have it, but glad it worked out for you in the end.

Vols, are these part of the roll backs? Will there be a place that says these are the sale items or will it just be randomly in stores?

The one day sale on the main page lists items for $50 less than Amazon et al. You'll have to calculate sales tax (both will ship it for free) to see how much you'll come out ahead.

Third party sellers can levy a sales tax along with 23 states. In many of those states an Amazon affiliate had their agreement terminated.

I don't get charged tax when I order from amazon. I think.......
But there's a rumor an amazon warehouse is being built in state so that might end soon.

In a related item I'm interested in the employee court case regarding unpaid security checkpoints before they're allowed to leave.

I'd like to give WM a rave as well!

I ordered a laptop on Friday during their one day sale and got the free shipping, since I technically didn't need it right away. The shipping estimate was for Wed. Nov. 19th. And about an hour ago, FedEx was beating on my door with the laptop! I think that's the fastest free shipping I've ever had, besides Amazon. Kudos to Walmart! :D

welllll i think if you dig deep enough (or maybe not have to dig deep at all) you will probably find out that amazon is a terrible company to work for.
so says some people. i guess the head honcho is a huge d-bag.
