Disappointing start

Postby BFriGirl » Mon Oct 21, 2013 2:14 pm

I can't believe how bad the deals are so far for electronics. Very disappointed in RS and GS ads. Do you guys think the deals will get better as ads come out or are real doorbusters a thing of the past?

Yea, we go through this every year. It'll get better. It always does.

Seemed like the GS ad was better last year though or maybe I just wasn't being so...frugal.

I don't think RS and GS are good ads to base anything off of. At best, they have a few items worth picking up if you are near. It's always been that way.

Okay, you hit it right on the head. The others just need to understand that these are not major players and never have been. Radio shack is a complete joke of a company and Game Stop is the store that we warned your mother not to shop at. Completely ignore these and wait for the real ads.

There are a few good things in the GS ad and unlike wm and km you can put some of the big stuff in layaway, pick up during the sale at the sale price

I think its ok right now. The stores that show off the "doorbusters" haven't entered in yet. However, I saw some things in GS and RS that I need or want that I would purchase.

If they don't have it...or you need an upgrade I recommend it. The next gens are just coming out and MS and Sony will not be stopping support for them until 2016. There will be plenty of games :P

I got Chris the Star Wars one last Christmas and the kids love it, but we won't let them play unless hes here with them. I want them to be able to play their games, but still leave his alone. if GS is going to have it for 199 on BF it would be well worth the deal.

We have gone through 3 Wii's the current one works fine and i dont see a need to get rid of it, but want to have the other in line for them to grow with the next few years too....

^^ That's really nice. This is a good deal and keep an eye open for the other stores which might throw in Gift Card deals with bundles as well.

As for the backup systems...good move *thumbs up*
