I bought my Wii online last year from GameStop.com. It was a Mario bundle pack. They're offering Wii bundle packs again this year.

Thanks! I'll check there when I got home. The video games sites are blocked at my work. I teach school, so I guess they want to keep the highschoolers off!

The Mario Kart should be easy to find. My Wal-Mart probably has 20 or more at any given time. The Guitar Hero may be more difficult. I've heard reports of those being harder to find, with the PS3 version being the hardest. At least it's that way with Guitar Hero World Tour.

I've got a Wii, NIB, that I'll sell.

I bought one at BB last Saturday night while I was looking at TV's....it was going to be a Christmas present for my daughters. They had 3 left from the 30 they'd gotten in that morning, and I figured I better grab one while they had them.

The next day I was in a charity Texas Hold'em tournament. First prize? A Wii. I won the tournament (with one daughter watching, so that blew the Christmas idea), so I can either take this one back to BB or sell it to someone who's looking and can't find one.

I paid $249 plus tax ($270 total). I'll sell it for that plus shipping if someone wants it.

Nope.

I just figured if anyone was looking for one, I'd offer the extra I had.

I can take it back any time and get a full refund.

I seriously don't think finding a Wii this year is going to be a problem, and here are my reasons:

1) Amazon consistently has them in stock each day, lasting for several hours, over the past week at least
2) I've seen many, many of them at my local Walmarts and Targets
3) Nintendo has to be thinking "with the current economic situation, we should finally flood the stores with Wiis this year. If you're a gift-buying parent in this recession, which console are you going to go for - the one that's $400 or the one that's $250?".

As far as I'm personally concerned, Nintendo lost the chance of me ever being a Wii customer. For nearly 2 years they've purposely restricted supply in order to create the appearance that these things are flying off shelves. I've been gaming since the days of Coleco Vision, and never before have I seen a console be so hard to find after 2 whole years. It doesn't matter to me if I can find a Wii anywhere now, because 2 years later I'm finally ready to adopt Blu-Ray and the Wii offers nothing aside from kids games.

Do you have any facts for this "created" shortage? Also, there are games for the Wii which are not for children. You have to know what the game is like before you get it.

I was at TJMaxx yesterday and saw an ad on their window that they will be carrying them soon. I don't know how soon, but they will have a Wii Fit bundle and another bundle of sorts. Might be worth looking into.

Best buy has plenty as of yesterday and by that I mean a whole huge stack around 150 or so if I had to guess and Gamestop also has them in stock as well.
