** ANYONE POSTING IN HOT DEALS - PLEASE READ! **

Postby XmasDVD » Sun Oct 09, 2011 5:45 pm

Please help keep information in this section CURRENT

1. Put the store name in CAPS in your subject. (ie: JCPENNEY - Save 20%)
2. Include the ending date/expiration date in the subject (ie: Ends 10/31)
3. When the end date has passed, please remove the post (if no one has replied to it)

If something has ended/expired but has replies, you can't delete it - but - please change the title to ** EXPIRED ** then delete everything in the body and put ** EXPIRED ** as well, please.

I am asking the MODS to go through and delete any message with ** EXPIRED ** in it - so we can keep it clean.
If you will check and delete old messages on a regular basis (weekly at least) we can keep it cleaned up and relevant.

THANK YOU!!

thanks! I just joined and was thinking that, "great site" in the title is very unhelpful.

and maybe as a viewer/poster, refrain from posting comments such as "thanks" or "great deal" or other basically useless comments like that because it prevents the original poster from deleting?

Rereading that, I hope it doesn't come across as harsh or bossy lol. I just know that personally I have stopped myself from doing exactly that--posting "great deal" on someone's thread, because I realized that they can't delete if I comment on it.

If possible, please extend the amount of characters that can be in Subject lines. So far I have used XDA's format for posting new "releases" (deals). This works extremely well. Just need a few more characters so that Subjects can look similar to this:

[BEST BUY][EXP-JAN1] $39 Ghost Recon 1337 - Xbox 360 (AMIR$10)

[Location][Expiration] PRICE Title of item - general category (Rebate if applicable)

or might even consider

[BEST BUY][EXP-JAN1](Video Game) $39 Ghost Recon 1337-PS3/360/Wii (AMIR$10)

[Location][Expiration](Category) PRICE Title of item (Rebate if applicable)

Thanks!
