Quote this post as a template for answering the questions.

1. What are the names of moose's cats?

I think its a trick question - he has dogs but no cats
And if he does have a cat, then it would have to be named Mr. Nastyface (since I had a cat that I did not like and who really hated hairdryers, hence Mr. Nastyface)

2. What college degree did moose complete this past spring?

B.S. Electrical Engineering (Cal Poly)

3. Answer the following question:

Image

m=.115kg v(puck)=35m/s v(octopus)=0m/s m(octopus)=.265kg
.115kg35m/s=v(.115kg+.265kg)
v=10.592 or 10.6m/s

4. What map projection is this?

Image

Robinson Projection 1988 (Entire world shown as flat image)

5. What time did the Kohl's Black Friday Sale begin in 2003?

5:30 AM(but I don't go there until after my first choice store)

6. Which rock band used the following person's head as a cardboard cutout at concerts and on album art? Name the person for bonus points.

Image

Rock Band: TMBG (They Might Be Giants)
Person: William Allen White (Spokesman for Middle America & Famous for "What's the Matter with Kansas") on the "Don't Let's Start
CD Single album art

7. What is the highest thread count for a set of sheets advertised in a Black Friday advertisement in 2008? What store is the item in?

1000 TC in Target Ad for $59.99

8. Which bear is best?

Tough one - Many Possibilities

California Golden Bears because they are in Cali and maybe he likes them.
Maybe Yogi Bear since his location states Madison, Wisconsin and there is a Jellystone Park there but thats a very big stretch.
Chicago Bears since maybe he likes them as his fave football team.
Bear Grylls since Man Vs. Wild is a good show.

So if it is any of those, then thats the one I pick

9. What was the sale price of a Panasonic 50" DLP HDTV on Black Friday in 2004?

$3499 (plus tax)(but if you take out the $300 gift card, $3199 for the tv)

10. What is the weight of the final BFAds prize?

2 ounces (weight of the gift card) and 4 ounces if there is cardboard holder for the gift card

I have my fingers crossed since this would be so great to win! This was a really fun contest - lots of Googling! Thanks! :mrgreen:

That was tough. Good job.

It took a couple of hours, seriously. When I found the answer I thought I had won the lottery!!! btw, for all you who talked about the cheating..I have to defend my honor by saying that I believe I was the first to post answer #6. I googled the velocity question (and like an idiot put down the wrong answer...1.59 instead of 10.59)grrr

No one accounted for the friction coefficient of ice in the hockey puck problem.

I am sorely disappointed. :D
