Who's Still Camping at BB after Viewing the ad?

Postby cmac1337 » Thu Nov 13, 2008 10:30 pm

I'm curious. lol. please stay on topic here though guys so this doesn't get locked...don't discuss how horrible the ad is, just keep it short and sweet.

Are you still camping out at BB? If so, why? If not, why not?

relatively short explanations...here's mine:

Yes I'm still camping, it's a tradition and we're in it for the fun, not primarily the deals.

What the...? The fun? You must live in one of those WARM states that don't get wind or snow haha. (I envy you). Lol, my first campout at BB last year ended up as all hell breaking loose... I guess it must be fun being lost in a mob and shoving people out of your way to get what you deserve (since I was first in line of course).

Anyways, short and sweet, I don't think those deals are concrete. If they are, there is no need to campout. I could get there 3:00am on BF itself, and still be first in line (I'm being sarcastic of course). But yes, I will still be out there 5:00 am ish on Thursday.

To camp at my BB and have a chance at the doorbusters I would have to there by Wednesday afternoon. But from what I saw on the ad I think I better not. I would change my mind if they come up with better offers.

I was out Wednesday night at closing and was all alone till Noon, Thursday (2nd person to arrive). How unfortunate for you, but I take it you live somewhere warm then?

I am gonna research the $899 50" Panasonic Plasma HDTV. If it's a pretty good price for it, I'll camp out and get two. If it's decent, I'll pass. Unless Wal-Mart comes out with something great, then I'm camping there.

as of now, prolly not. I am waiting to see what the secret sales are like.
as I have said before, your mission plan needs to be flexible. if target, or however unlikely, CC, has some deals, we could go there if BB does not pan out.
with the move, I really am in the market for 2-3 new TVs now. I was hoping for BF to take care of that.

Right now, no, because of the current ad - however, if the online super deals are excellent maybe - but they have to come out at a good time.

They must be out by the Monday before in order to properly plan.

Sure why not? I've never done it before because of family obligations and if it keeps everyone else away??? Now's my chance!!! However I do hope that the ads become better but not too much!!

I said yes, because I am sure there will be better deals released before then! I am not giving up on that $150-$200 laptop!

yes because even though it's an off brand, the $200 tv is in my budget for my daughter. and hopefully there will be an even better deal in the secret sale.

I don't want to start a new thread for this question but how long has BB been doing the "super secret sale?" Has it been a tradition for the last 10 years or so or has it only been a couple years? If they haven't been doing the secret sales for very long then it might not actually be a tradition that we can expect
