When do you start to wrap your presents???

Postby jovilover » Sat Nov 08, 2008 4:30 pm

I think I am going to start to wrap today. If I wait till all my shopping is done I get a massive back ache.
When do you all start wrapping??? Anyone have a tradition that goes along with it????

I'll start wrapping after BF. I love wrapping so I pretty much wrap everyone's gifts to everyone (my parents, four siblings, three exchange students, numerous relatives).
My wrapping tradition is when I start my Christmas break (this year around the 15th) I go to my parents' house for the day. My mom separates gifts into baskets as well as santa gifts (two of my younger siblings are in grade school and ones in high school). I spend the day on the floor with the coffee table watching christmas movies while wrapping and I will literally be there all day! I love it and look forward to it every year!

Okay... some of you make me look REALLY bad!!!! Okay... maybe all of you! This year I will try my best to establish a not so insane routine to wrapping presents!! Unfortunately I always wait till x-mas eve after the kids go to sleep to wrap. Talking about presents for 4 kids, hubby, mother, 2 aunts, 1 cousin- his 2 kids, my 2 sisters and their families etc... Last year I was up till about 5:30 a.m. and the kids woke up at 7:00 to see what Santa brought!! I so want to be done way before X-mas eve this year!! It's that darn thing called a job that keeps me from my duties!!

I wrap mine on BF, and if I get more after that day, I wrap them the same day!

I start to wrap when I have a few presents and some alone time, find it's the best way to keep some people from snooping. My sister used to be so good at snooping she could unwrapp and rewrap presents and no one would know, but then she wouldn't have any surprises.

Right - we wrap everything we bought and put it under the tree - then between BF weekend and Christmas eve, I 'sneak' out and buy little things and wrap them - for both of us - then when we go to bed on Christmas eve, I sneak them under the tree (from SANTA of course!) and fill our stockings.

When we wake up, Santa has magically left us gifts and filled our stockings.

Mind you, we have no kids and we're 'older' - why can't we still do this and act like kids?? It's a blast too..

They normaly do it form me at the store or if I'm at the mall they do it in the mall for fee as well and I just give them a tip.

You dont want to see what they end up looking like if I do it.
