how much do I plan on spending or how much does my wife plan on letting me spend? Of course she is a wonderful woman and we will compromise and use her budget.

I spend about the same amount every year.....between $1000-$1200. I always make sure my husband is putting money aside starting in August.

I'm looking at probably $1500-$2000. Depends on whats good. A top of the line laptop is a must. I bought the $219.99 Toshiba laptop last year (love it, swapped out the 512MB RAM, for 2x 1GB ram, and sold the printer it came with for $50.00) and am givin it to my sister after BF. Maybe a new camera. Wouldn't mind a SLR, but definitely a point and shoot. I only deal with Canons.

My husband tried to rain on my BF parade!!! He made an offhand comment about there being more people this year due to the economy. I wonder how many new BFers will be out there this year! Maybe they will be the ones who show up at 4:30 expecting the door buster and we can just laugh at them.

Have any of you thought about this and changed your plans? (such as when you are getting to the store, how much you are going to spend, etc.)

I'm WILLING to spend a lot more than I'm ABLE to spend.....

Not looking for any big ticket items, either.....but we have 4 kids and I usually get about 1/2 done on BF. So....I think I'll have around $500.

I sure do hope no one is there REALLY earlier than me. I quote from a great movie, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby :

"If your not first, your last." -Reese Bobby

I have to be first... 10:00am...

I have a budget but that is for the whole Christmas shopping,so Friday shopping in particular I am the same.

Hmmm... about $500 for myself I'd say to either get a 32" LCD for the bedroom or a desktop from Dell.
As for gifts for other people, maybe another $250 or so depending on what I find.

I'm probably going to spend $600 in cash and $500 on my credit card and $250 on my Kohl's card.

I usually do my christmas club account and usually end up with about 2500 or so but this year I slacked and did put any money in so it was only 100.00 but my hubby promised me at least 2000 considering the number of people we have to buy for so we will see.
