HA!

I've had to pay for the past couple of years so I'm not betting on this year being any different.

Good luck to you folks!

We won't be getting anything back either. Owning your own business has its tolls sometimes.

I always schedule my cats' vet visit around tax refund time. So that's a good $300-$500 depending on other things.
And then I need to use some to pay off some furniture that is 0 interest until mid-april

And then the rest is either going stray to the credit card or going in savings.

I always hope to save a large chunk of that... but it never seems to happen lol

When I was with our local County Got I was getting $3-4,000 back. Lost that job back in 2013 so I will lucky to get back $600 this year.
Saving it for bills and non-fun stuff.

Some of mine will go for our summer trip for gas and little fun (we just go to their aunt's house one state away.)

Then tires and bills and whatnot...I try to keep it in account as long as possible.

I haven't received a refund since Bush was president, I try to have more taxes taken out of my checks so I don't have to pay anything come tax season but it doesn't always work out. This year with the new business, I've decided to hire an accountant to prepare my taxes, maybe he can find me something this year, if so it will go into a special savings account set up for my daughter, that cannot be touched before she turns 18. Otherwise my wife will take that as a invite to do some unnecessary shopping or something.

No longer get refunds. Always have to pay. And if I find a way to get any money....it goes to what we owe still! Ugh!

We paid off Federal but state kills us every year and keeps us in the monthly payments.
It just isn't Black Friday when it is Thursday.......

some will go towards car repairs, and some towards decorating my house (new furniture, rugs, accents, etc.)...and depending on how much I get, I'm looking to get season tix for next season for my favorite team.
I'm addicted!

So far it has been softball equipment (middle girl playing fastpitch.) We were a soccer family but that time has passed...the only one doing sports this season is her and we owned nothing..

My refund was a huge huge HUUGGEEEE blow. I guess i'm learning my lesson multiple times in the past few month to NOT depend on money coming in :(

I think with my raise at my full time job and making more on my side business it kicked me into the next tax bracket and totally killed any dreams of me getting what I normally get for a refund. I made just enough to pay my vet bill.

Now I will hate tax time forever :( or at least until I quit one job lol

That sucks. At least you got the vet stuff handled. We ended up getting less because our oldest is no longer eligible for the child tax credit, but we knew that was happening.

She has already learned softballs aren't soft, they just leave bigger bruises. Took a ball to eyebrow...black eye now and bleed inside eye itself too :(
