Christmas Tree Shopping

Postby shrcpark » Fri Aug 29, 2014 12:36 pm

When do you put up your Christmas tree and when do you take it down?
I put up our tree the first week of December and take it down a few days before the New Year.

We always have a couple trees up by Thanksgiving. (We had 5 decorated last year) Usually all the X-Mas stuff is down by New Years Day, the tree in our bedroom managed to stay up till the end of Jan. My daughter took hers down in June.
Just here to have fun, keep the bad guys out, and give the stray dogs a place to stay

Typically on or before Halloween and will go down sometime late Jan or early Feb.

One of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas day. Don't clean it up too quickly!

Tree usually goes up after shopping Black Friday. All Christmas decor comes down by Easter.

I usually put mine up the day after Halloween and take down lately has been Xmas night. I used to leave it up until New Years, but by the time Christmas rolls around, I am just done when the day is over.

Our tree will go up as soon after Thanksgiving that we can go to the tree place and get one. We think this year we may go and cut our own. There's a place if you drive up into the mountains where they take you back in a horse and buggy and you can pick your own and they cut it there.

Have you tried putting it up later so that you won't be so over it?

All year long. At this point I am actually a little behind where I am typically at this late. I like to have everything done by the first of December.
