How do I tell my husband....

Postby PlutoIsTheBest » Wed Nov 14, 2012 12:11 am

My husband wants to get one of the TVs from Walmart and that really is a two person job (especially at our WM), but I don't want to go shopping this year. I really have no interest in it at all.

We need a new TV.

I just have no desire to do anything that involves me going into a store on BF.

I feel bad. He is super excited about shopping this year. We have BF shopped every year since before we were married, more than 20 years. Except last year because the ads stunk.

is there a similar tv you could get from a store less crazy than wal mart where he could do it by himself?

He wants one of the 46 or 50 inch ones so his chances are already slim. Maybe I'll feel differently next week.

Do you have any butter and egg money saved up? Maybe you can tell him, "... but let's just buy a TV, not on Black Friday, and I'll make up the difference in price."

Sears has the 50 in Toshiba LED for 299....if you have shop your way rewards, you might be able to purchase it on Tuesday.

Just curious as to why you think it's a 2 person job? Just tell him to grab a buggy if he cannot carry it by himself. He can stand in line, get the ticket, and get the TV. You can stay at home and snooze!

Shop online. It only requires one person and you don't even have to leave the house.

Amazon has announced they're including many of the traditional B&M door-busters during their "Black Friday week" sale.

Our WM is so busy on a regular day that they are considering opening another one in our city and we are a small town, mostly rural.

I am sorry but I was expecting a jerry spring episode when I opened this thread lol.

I agree that he might be able to do it himself or even ordering online.

Those tv's weigh maybe 10lbs tops but because they are so big it is good to get a helper. I'd check ads now and you could probably find one for a little more then what you wanted to pay on BF and avoid the lines. You can always get one of the workers to help get the tv

If you do decide to go the Walmart route, good luck trying to get one of the workers to help with the tv.
