Cyber Monday

Postby jemerid » Sat Nov 26, 2011 7:37 am

Has anyone ever shopped cyber monday for lap tops or tvs. I still have to get these items and was wondering if it would be to my benefit to shop online on monday? What sites do I check on cyber monday? How long do the cyber monday sales last? all day or just morning?

I bought a Dell laptop last year during as Cyber Monday sale, and was pleased. It was not a doorbuster, screamingly insane price, but it was a very decent discount on a laptop that met my needs, and I've been very happy. I've not found prices on Cyber Monday to be as crazy-low as on Black Friday, but I do expect that there will be deals to be had.

And I bet it will start early Sunday this year, given how Black Friday actually started on midday Thursday year.

I have never done Cyber Monday, usually broke before then <like now LOL>, but hubby might spot me a little $$ for online shopping. I'm wondering... does Amazon.com typically have good deals on toys such as Legos on Cyber Monday?

Last year they had a lot of Legos on their lightning deals the whole week!

I have already looked at the weekly store ads in the newspaper not impressed. I still have shopping to do but it will not be this week unless Cyber Monday TRU gets me. I have already looked at the Cyber deals listed on the main bfads page and it is nothing I am looking for as of yet :(

I'm in the same boat! I can't believe I'm wanting to buy and can't find a single deal!

Yup, I have to agree. It seems to me like mostly a marketing ploy. I've checked several sites - Target has the audacity to have an interesting looking food blender right in their Cyber Deals page for $159 - regular price also $159. Hm..not much saving there. Other sites such as Old Navy just has 30% off - did FAR better than that with their sale last week before BF and their stock wasn't completely depleted like it is now from BF. Amazon - sorry, but the lightening deals look mostly like their regular prices. Gamestop - not seeing much there either. Toys R Us doing their usual "80% off!!" and when you go, it's one or two items while the rest in the category are still more expensive than Walmart's everday. CM shouldn't be BF but at least it should be more than retailers running their usual sales - if they want to make it a "big shopping day".

I woke up to about 20 e-mails from different retailers about their Cyber Monday sales.

20% OFF EVERYTHING! FREE SHIPPING...

...on purchases over $100.

Woosh! Can't beat that kind of deal!

I got that many or more emails today to let me know that the sales had been extended . . . . I didn't find that much yesterday to be excited about but I'll give them another look, just to make certain I didn't miss something :D
Life is uncertain . . . . . eat dessert first and then go shopping!
