cook your kids a t-day dinner ;)

i did it for myself last year. minus the turkey - haha
i made a small serving of sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, can of cranberries, and some mashed potatoes

I'm usually too tired because I have to work the night before and I usually don't get home until 7 or 8 in the morning. maybe we'll have a late one.

I just get bummed out sometimes because family is so faraway

Drive up to Dallas and join me and mine. There's always plenty! =)

Wow thank you! So kind of you! I'm actually taking the kids to Galveston to spend the night (I have Thursday and Friday off) so we can see the lights at Moody Gardens. We usually go own to San Antonio for the lighting of the Riverwalk but we are doing something different.

But thank you because that was a great gesture!

Grilled turkey (my husband injects it with his super secret marinade the night before, then slices it and grills it..YUM!)
Mashed potatoes & gravy
Stuffing
Acorn squash
Scalloped Corn
Rolls
Pumpkin pie
Pecan pie

Any other ideas for dessert? Lots of kids coming who don't care for pie.

You are absolutely welcome! Sounds like you have a great trip planned. I would love to be around sometime for the lighting of the Riverwalk. I imagine that would be gorgeous!!! :!: :)
