Re: Best Buy

Best buy near me had 60 people in line at 3pm. Tickets given out at 4pm. Unfortunately they only had about 40 tickets for the $179 Samsung so I didn't get a ticket. Bummed! Everything else they had more than enough tickets. Don't need a TV this year, so I'll be skipping BB rush. Son wants an Apple ...

Re: Lowe's

Lowes continues to be the best battery deal, about $0.16 per battery it's just unpassable.

I bought 6 boxes of AA and 2 boxes of AAA last year. We used up the AA by July, AAA almost gone.

Gonna get 8 boxes AA and 2 AAA this year.

p.s. remember to store them in your fridge, will last much longer!

Re: Walmart - Black Friday shopping tips

Don't even go to Walmart. It's all last years (or older) TV's, or the crappy Heier models. Sound bars are all junk, it's their time to clean out their backed up inventory that they couldn't sell normally at 35% off MSRP so it's NOW 50% off MSRP! Flash sales and rushes around the store... its so stup...

Re: The modern day black friday

Actually, more tvs are bought in late January (pre superbowl) than in November. I beg to differ m (Ignore the "dvd player" in the link, it's tv stats) Though it's true jan has better deals Maybe it swung back to BF, but I def agree there are better TV deals in Jan because all the electron...

Re: The modern day black friday

I've now started doing my Christmas shopping other times and just going for fun random things. Another thing that has changed. Black Friday is less about Christmas shopping and has become "national buy yourself a tv day." Actually, more tvs are bought in late January (pre superbowl) than ...

Cyber Monday, plans, deals, steals?

Anyone still have Cyber Monday plans?

I'm hoping for a magical low-cost 50" HD TV (and not one made in Tajikistan).

Never know what comes up in Amazon's deals, but most of the items/prices I see on eBay.

Re: Lowe's

Can't pass up the 36pk of AA batteries for $6. I bought 2 of those last year, we ran out a month ago. Kids and toys. Prob gonna get 4 packs this year. Keep 3 in the fridge (extends life). Also if you keep an eye on Groupon, they have batteries quite often through the year. I always got batteries on...

Re: True Value

I was in TrueValue on Monday.. sign said for Black Friday, 50% off one item under $30, or $15 off any one item over $30. I need a nice new trash can, and I hate to spend $33.. but for $15 off, looks worth it. Everyone is all crazy for TVs and stuff.. don't forget the other stuff that you use EVERY D...
