Re: Tools!

I'm thinking of the $60 Craftsman 19.5v drill/driver from Sears, but not sure, my last one was a Craftsman(18v) and only lasted ~8 yrs before the battery stopped holding a charge. To be fair I only paid $30 for it back then and use it quite a bit so I probably got my money's worth on it. 8)

Re: Target

Well if this is a clue on what we can expect this year I don't see any reason to even go out this Thanksgiving/BF. Well except for something to do since we aren't partaking in any big family dinners this year

Re: Video game system

Hmm although I've always been a Nintendo fan in your case I'd vote for the xbox. You'd have more choices in games. But really, if your kids aren't really into gaming with what you have, getting another system may not be a good idea IMO.

Re: Ugh - How to do the holidays without sugar? Impossible!

Whoa sounds like you've had quite a year! My daughter prefers "reindeer food" aka carrot & celery sticks to sugar cookies/pie. She's not allergic to sugar, she just simply doesn't like many sweets. I'm the opposite, I can't go through a holiday without making a pecan pie which is prett...

Re: Total cost vs Number of items? How do you decide what you are buying your kids for Christmas?

I like the family adventure idea! We usually do a family gift (game system, etc) But I like the idea of adventures I did this last year, sent my ex and daughter to Disney World. This year, I'm thinking about driving to Vegas with the kid for the Monster Jam finals in March. My ex thinks she's a bit...

Re: Bella brand kitchen small appliances?

I've had a few Bella appliances and never had any issues with any of them, except the single cup coffee brewer...it lasted less than a month before it died.

The decorations, the holiday-themed movies, the food, quality family time that I cherish the most, and best of all my week-and-a-half-long Christmas vacation.

Just checked and it looks like Disc Replay (also known as Mega Replay and Disc Traders) are only in the midwestern states as well (Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana) .. however there may be a similar store near you as we have a Replay chain here in NY that apparently isn't part of the Disc Replay &q...
