Re: Crock Pot

I have been using a Kitchen Aid slow cooker (Model KSC6223SS) for just about 2 years now. I am happy with the way it has done the cooking. The only snag is the word "Low" on the button wore off within 5 months.

Re: What are you tweenage daughters asking for this year

My 12-year-old daughter wants a old-school flip phone for Christmas. She has an iPod touch so doesn’t want a smart phone. She also wants a copy of the US Constitution, a bunch of Doctor Who and Pride and Prejudice themed items. She’s my old soul. I would love to know if you find a flip phone. We lo...

Re: What are you tweenage daughters asking for this year

Well, I haven't heard anything about Christmas but my daughter and I did go shopping at Claire's with a gift card. She bought head wraps. She was looking for a charm bracelet with the lobster clasp charms but they didn't have any. So I'll be looking for that as a Christmas gift. :D

Re: The modern day black friday

Before the stores opened on Thanksgiving, I would list the best deals, store opening times and store locations. From there, I would plan my shopping strategy. It was like my own personal Black Friday scavenger hunt. I got to meet other people while waiting in line and help others out if I could. I w...

Re: Walmart Savings Catcher

It does seem that you have to use Walmart Pay in order to redeem the reward dollars after Oct. 29th. They won't be allowing you to pay with cash or check. :(

I think that this is a good explanation of the new program:

I haven't seen any updates on KB Toys but I did just read that Party City is opening up Toy City for the holiday season. https://toybook.com/toy-city-pop-up-loc ... ationwide/

I just found this article on retail toy stores that might be of interest to some - https://toybook.com/living-in-a-post-to ... oy-retail/

Re: What are you hoping for this Black Friday?

I hope to find a point and shoot camera for my daughters. They shared one until it broke. I'm sure other things will come to mind but that's all I can think of right now.

Re: Toys R Us Closing

Crazy as it may seem, I have good memories of standing in those long winding lines though the side aisles and main aisle to purchase those 6 AM door busters (when the store actually opened at 6 AM on Black Friday). That was about the only time of the year I went there with the exception of the kids ...

I had to order some books from Amazon and saw Prime Day is soon. I thought of all of you right away. :D

cinemike16 - Hope you find time to get outside during those chaotic work weeks. Fresh air and a walk always does me wonders.

Re: Online Shopping...... I don't have the patience!!!

I hear you! I like to try things on and actually feel the clothing to determine if it is what I want. I've been burnt too many times. If I know exactly what I want and I'm familiar with it, I'll order online. This is an extremely busy time though. I've seen a difference between ordering prior to Bla...

Re: point and shoot

I've seen some new cameras in the $80 - $100 range. If there is a camera store around your neck of the woods, they might sell refurbished ones at that price point. Some online options might be the Canon website or the Nikon website.
