Re: How much do you spend on black friday?

We usually spend between $500 -$1000. Since my husband passed away a few months ago, we were Black Friday aholics and both loved it and even camped out years ago at Best Buy. I am actually not going to any stores this year and only buying on line. I'm sorry to hear that your husband passed away thi...

Re: How much do you spend on black friday?

I'd say somewhere between $200 and $300 has been spent in the past. We set a budget in September and stick to it. As the children get older, they don't want as many things so we are doing less shopping.

Re: Did you buy your turkey yet

I usually pick one up the Friday before Thanksgiving. If you spend so much money at the grocery store, then you get a free turkey. This year, I got it early. The store was so peaceful on Monday when I was doing grocery shopping. The thought of coming back later in the week and dealing with the frenz...

Re: How do you get your ads?

I use more than one way to get the ads. Sometimes I check the site and I'm happily surprised with the newest ad. Other times, I'm reading through emails and I see a BFads email. When I'm waiting at the medical offices, I will use the BFads app. I do not want to miss out on an ad scan.

Re: So much fun....

I've been conversing with an "Official PCH Elite Member" since yesterday on Instagram. I was bored on the trip home from our scuba camping adventure.......anyways. They want me to go to MoneyGram or Western Union.....I "went" to a monogram store & asked what color they wante...

Re: Diabetic on Black Friday

I'm glad that you are on the mend and trying to figure out how to do BF shopping. I'm not diabetic. I have a friend who is. I was wondering if you might be able to find a small soft cooler that you could carry with you or at least keep in the car. It could hold a small ice pack and the refrigerated ...

Re: Crock Pot

I have been using a Kitchen Aid slow cooker (Model KSC6223SS) for just about 2 years now. I am happy with the way it has done the cooking. The only snag is the word "Low" on the button wore off within 5 months.

Re: What are you tweenage daughters asking for this year

My 12-year-old daughter wants a old-school flip phone for Christmas. She has an iPod touch so doesn’t want a smart phone. She also wants a copy of the US Constitution, a bunch of Doctor Who and Pride and Prejudice themed items. She’s my old soul. I would love to know if you find a flip phone. We lo...

Re: What are you tweenage daughters asking for this year

Well, I haven't heard anything about Christmas but my daughter and I did go shopping at Claire's with a gift card. She bought head wraps. She was looking for a charm bracelet with the lobster clasp charms but they didn't have any. So I'll be looking for that as a Christmas gift. :D

Re: The modern day black friday

Before the stores opened on Thanksgiving, I would list the best deals, store opening times and store locations. From there, I would plan my shopping strategy. It was like my own personal Black Friday scavenger hunt. I got to meet other people while waiting in line and help others out if I could. I w...
