Re: Kohl's (Removed for now)

The pdf was much appreciated. I like Kohl's marketing approach . They put their electronics and hot selling eye catchers in the front followed by jewelry, clothing and seasonal items. Right now it's a tempting ad. Went there last year for a knife set and checkout took 75 minutes at 8pm on T day. The...

Re: SNES

Good to read that many are scoring an SNES. Checked Brickseek and alerted by son in law of 10 at a WM 30 miles from his house. I have 5 supercenters in the nearby large city along with Gamestops, a Target and a TRU so I'll get one soon enough. Happy shopping all.

Re: SNES

Talked to the electronics manager at TRU this afternoon. They will have normal hours Friday and have 30 to put behind the register before opening. The tickets are already made out. He doesn't know if they'll get shipments in Saturday evenings like they did wit the WII many years ago and issue ticket...

Re: SNES

Target joined Amazon and BB on the sold out of preordered console list. People will be lined up for a 12:01 blitz on 9/29 for in store models. That should be almost as much fun to watch as participate. It brings back memories of a store manager saying they only have X number in stock sending despond...

Re: SNES

Reliable sources say Target will have a preoder event this evening at 10:30pm EST. There are links to the item even though it doesn't have an SKU. Beat the bots and score a SNES for September 29th.

Re: If you could change one thing on BFAds...

I would put an icon for forums on the main page and not hide it under the features tab on the toolbar. More people commented on articles than in the forums which caused some threads and sub forums to dry up. I like this idea. Also, would like a link back to the Main page added. I'd like to see one ...

Re: Weatherman just said.......

It's 60 degrees this morning with a break in the humidity. Cool August overall with one day of 90+ in an area where 90 is the average high. It will top out at 85 with less than 50% humidity. Reminds me of the fantastic weather in Colorado where 85/55 with dry air was/is the norm.

Re: Where th'heck is everybody?

It's less than 100 days til store go green with cash. I expect the most pre BF sales events of all time. Brick and mortars might not be able to sustain themselves much longer unless they get people out of their driveways and cuing lines for in store specials. Clearance, more than 50% off and invento...

Best Buy 50 Hour Sale

I paste a couple of things from the website. There are lots of sale items other than the ones I highlighted. Be the first one to scoop up sale prices starting today at 11pm ET. Last year it's 50th birthday sle was a success so it's giving it another go. My take is near new inventory will be at the f...

Re: Tipping on 2-go orders

I tip when picking up a to go order at my favorite restaurant (Cheddars) since I've dined in there thousands of times. This keeps the service I receive at a premium and the portion sizes as good or better than an occasional diner. The number of times I've complemented their managers, cooks servers b...

Re: Walmart

I shopped at a super center close to Kohls so I could stay parked in one spot for both trips. Got to the aisle with the bar stools first. Sheets were around the corner and towels were in between. Lots of people wanted the towels so I arranged with a lady to keep my cart in one spot while took turns ...

Re: Kohl's

I agree that the assistant managers know little more than then sales associates. I didn't bother asking for help with the knife sets and finally found the 15 piece Chicago cutlery set behind other boxes on the bottom shelf. Getting a cart took 10 minutes and the round the store checkout line took 1 ...

Re: Walmart

The advise to click on page two of my local store's ad was spot on. The cluster of things near electronics will be tight, but manageable. I'll have to avoid the wireless associate so they won't try to activate my line that night. I plan on switching one or more sim cards and if the reception isn't u...
