TCL Roku TV

On Black Friday, I went to Costco to buy a television. There weren't any especially on sale, so I ended up just buying a TCL Roku TV which I now somewhat regret. It is functional, the picture is fine, and the price was good for a 4K HDR UHD TV of its size. However, a Roku TV is more of a "Roku ...

Re: Did you buy your turkey yet

My turkey went well. I just roasted it on a rack in the foil pan with an initial baste of oil and salt and pepper. Started the oven at 450 F and then baked the turkey at 325 F for about 3 hours. It reached 170 F in the thigh and 180 F in the breast, a bit overcooked.

Re: Share your 2018 Black Friday experience

I went out at around 10:00 pm Thursday, to Target and then Walmart. Both stores were not crowded, but both were also pretty much cleaned out of most of the good doorbuster items. At Target, I managed to find the last $10 slow cooker sitting on the side of the aisle. I got back home about 2 hours lat...

Re: Which ad(s) are you still waiting on?

I think that's a good strategy for stores who don't want their Black Friday ads leaked ahead of time-- purposefully publish a Black Friday preview ad weeks ahead of time. Most ad sites like BFAds will stop hunting for the real Black Friday ad once they receive a preview ad to put on their site.

Re: 2018 Spreadsheet of all the Black Friday deals

It appears that the dealscircle web site stole our spreadsheet. From the watermarks I put into the spreadsheet, I see that currently they stole the Nov. 20, 2018 version.

Re: Did you buy your turkey yet

FYI, you all have inspired me to cook the turkey the traditional way: whole roast turkey. I went out today and bought a disposable foil pan. The turkey is now sitting in the pan in my refrigerator, drying out the skin in preparation for tomorrow's bake.

(I poached and ate the giblets today.)

Re: Which ad(s) are you still waiting on?

The PetSmart Black Friday ad isn't on their website for me, in my region at least. I only see the "Preview" ad.

Re: Looking for a cozmo black friday deal I came across earlier in the month.

The deals that BFAds lists for the Cozmo robot are: ⋅ best-buy ⋅ Anki White Cozmo Robot, $139.99, $179.99, link ⋅ target ⋅ Anki Cozmo Robot, $139.99, $179.99, link I do not know whether stores might have it for sale at lower prices in the future. The deal you ...

Re: Did you buy your turkey yet

Okay, BFAds folk. You inspired me to actually buy a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. I just got back from Trader Joe's with the fresh turkey, pre-made cranberry relish, frozen mashed potatoes, box of pre-made turkey gravy, and a box of cornbread stuffing mix. The turkey was larger than I wanted, 13.6...

Re: 2018 Spreadsheet of all the Black Friday deals

Does anyone know what the deal is with the Black Friday spreadsheet found on other sites? At least 6 different deals websites (hip2save, fabulessly frugal, mama cheaps, deals to coupons, utah sweet savings, the coupon challenge) have posted their own Black Friday spreadsheets. But it's all the same ...

Re: Which ad(s) are you still waiting on?

I do not know if the same deal will be at all Yankee Candle stores, but the Yankee Candle Village in Williamsburg, VA says that their tote this year will be some sort of "Fragrance Lovers Tote – a tote filled with Yankee Candle Products only $29.50 with a $25 purchase (while supplies last -over...
