Re: *** Share your Black Friday experience here ***

I think I need a BF intervention now lol. Shortly after writing my last post, my mom checked her email and got a $20 off $100 or more coupon at the Bloomingdales outlet from her purchase the day before. So I got dressed and went back to the outlets for my Longchamp travel tote. I couldn't pass it up...

Re: Cartwheel or Shopkick

Be careful with ShopKick. While I loved their app, I recently turned in thousands of kicks for a $50 Sports Authority gift card to use on Black Friday and the store is refusing to take it because there isn't a barcode. I called the 1800 number and emailed shop kick and they keep placing blame on on...

Re: *** Share your Black Friday experience here ***

Started my BF shopping on Monday w/ Amazon, bought some DVDs that were going to be in the ads for the same price, all but one is delivered already (Avengers, backordered until next week). Then on Tuesday I bought a Michael Kors watch online at Niemen Marcus Last Call, $97 shipped and still waiting f...

Re: Beds

I bought my bed from Mattress Warehouse about 2 years ago. It was $300 for the bed and box spring before delivery (which I think was $75ish). If you have one near you, I would check them out. I was moving out at the time and didn't have a bed I wanted to take with me, so I went and bought the cheape...

Re: Cartwheel or Shopkick

I use both but I always forget about shopkick, so I only have about 1200 kicks since starting it 6 months ago. With cartwheel though I've saved about $50 in the year I'd been using it. :D I also use Ibotta, Checkout 51 & Shrink for rebates with all my grocery purchases/misc purchases if there ar...

Re: The ads so far are AWFUL this year.

The ads look worse and worse every year because they are the same thing every year. That's true!!! You can always count on the same items popping up in the ads year after year! Although I'm surprised there aren't that many tablet deals out this year. I got mine on BF last year and it seemed like ev...

Re: The ads so far are AWFUL this year.

I think the ads are a bit lackluster this year. I'm hoping for some good sales leading up to BF though, but, I'm also not in need of/really wanting anything this year. Which is maybe why I think they're pretty meh this year.

Re: Kohls

Disappointing ad this year. No sheet sets on sale and no baby clothes either. One of my good friends is having her baby shower for her first child in December, so I was hoping to pick some stuff up. Looks like I'll only be ordering towels online this year as it's the only thing I need from Kohls. So...

Re: How do u save money?

I have a savings account with ING (now CapitalOne360) and have money taken out of every paycheck and go automatically into my savings account. It helps me since this way I know X amt will go out every week and I can't see the money in my normal bank account, so I'm less likely to spend it or even th...

Re: What are you looking to get BF2014??

Can't believe it's that time of year again!! I'm counting down the days now until BF, since it's my favorite time of year :D I'm not looking for much this year, I moved over the summer and now I'm living by myself and my needs are small!! I do need some new sheets and towels, looking for some new DV...

Re: Who has packages still "in the mail" to them that are ne

I'm not 100% sure yet. I had a bunch of stuff delivered to my parents because that's where we're doing Christmas. I know there's one shipment for sure that should be here today (Nordstrom gift for my Aunt). I know my sister's photobook already came, and my dad's gift might have shown up last night a...

Re: Sickness :(

Sorry you came down sick digby, but glad your starting to feel better. Orange juice is awesome. Usually when sickness does start, I make sure we have some in the fridge, and end up with homemade chicken and veggie soup to go with it. Fresh squeezed lemon <1/2 of a small one, 1/4 of a large one>, an...

Re: Sickness :(

Finally caught whatever it was my sister had Thanksgiving week. Felt a sore throat starting Saturday morning, but Sunday evening I felt horrible. Work up early Monday and called in sick, thought my head was going to explode due to stuffiness. By the evening though I felt 100 x's better, now it's jus...

Re: Stocking stuffers? besides coal

As a kid my sister & I always got a ton of candy and lottery scratch tickets. Then some small toys, normally those animals that "poop" out the jelly beans because my dad thinks it's hilarious lol. As an adult it's still a ton of candy and some small toys/ornaments my dad finds funny, s...
