Happy belated birthday BFaddict! Spent Friday visiting my grandmother and time with my girls. Started cleaning the house yesterday and visited with family that came down from Nebraska. Today more cleaning and football. Tomorrow final work day of the year....and you guessed it. Cleaning lol
My wife and I went out shopping Saturday for our extended family members and we went through the Toy aisle saying "oh the girls would like this" many times. Luckily we were able to hold back. Still..for the 10 or 15 items we bought as stocking stuffers or for family members we still spent ...
I always break my list in to 3 categories: 1) The No Way I'm getting any of these gifts 2) Eh...If I've been good, I might get one of these and 3) Dollar store items. I'll usually have my summer movies that come out this time of the year that I'll want, sports jersey's / t-shirts, and ask for a gift...

Contact Sony. I had this same problem happen to my "George Forman" style PS3. It was one of the first ones that came out, so it was well beyond its warrenty. I contacted them about possible repair and they said they could exchange the PS3 for a new, slim model for around $100. It definitel...

My gripe with Sears is that if the local hometown store refuses (or can't ) match the appliances and TV prices in the ad. They need to say in the ad or on the store earlier than the morning of the sale those hometown stores won't have them. I didn't get burned on that Toshiba TV deal because I went ...
I heard on some news report that retailers may start Black Friday....or black thanksgiving or whatever you want to call it earlier next year. I myself didn't like the 8pm start....but could manage that in my head because I knew we'd be done by 5 or 6 and could head out in time. But if they were to d...
Normally we wait until the weekend of thanksgiving to do ours, but this year with my step daughter s parenting schedule and as hectic as our work schedule will be we decided to just do it 2 weekends ago....except I wouldn't allow them to turn on the tree until yesterday. Lol
So who would you say we're the winners and losers for this years Black Friday in terms of stores? Judging based upon: crowd control, deals, and checkout speed. Winner:Wal-Mart in my town. They had decent deals, crowds were huge but they kept everyone moving and pretty orderly, and we were checked ou...
I'm not sure about the rest of you, but the 2 hours before start time for the 8pm deals worked for my Wal-Mart. My town is a population of 10K and Wal-Mart is really the only big name store we have. If you got there at 6pm you could get any deal you wanted if you wanted to wait for it. Good to know ...

I have a "home town" store here. I was interested in that Toshiba 50" TV at one point but decided against it because of the store in town. I'm glad I did. They were doing all of their door busters at 4am. I drove by last night just to see if anyone was waiting. No one was and there wa...
I'm at Wal-Mart near Xbox 360 games. 90 mins away from sales going live. I'd say traffic is half way busy.. Traffic is picking up here but busiest appears to be household items. Good luck! Prepare for glory!
