Re: my package got stolen

I recently had a package stolen that was delivered FedEx. Package contained 2 prepaid smartphones - paid about $200. According to FedEx tracking they had been delivered to my front door at 6:15 a.m. There were two problems with this statement: 1. FedEx website states that deliveries begin at 8:00 a....

Re: Stores were Dee-E-Dee Dead! during traditional BF hours

Overall, it was dead here, too. I'd done almost all of my shopping online, but still enjoy going out for BF. The only place we went that was not eerily slow for BF was Menards.

Re: Cyber Monday: What did you get or trying to get?

Bought the $129 Kindle Fire the first go-around on Amazon for my 3 year old. I was looking for a good case for it like Gumdrop. I ended up getting a G-force portfolio case for $20 with fs. I didn't realize how good that price was until I showed the case to a friend this morning...back up to $70. Can...

Re: -=-=-=SHARE YOUR BF 2012 EXPERIENCE! - OPEN=-=-=-

Thanks to the early BF online sales and Amazon lightning deals, I'd gotten my big ticket items before BF. I didn't have anything I needed to get in the stores, but went out because we always do it as a girls day out. (Although this year my 15 year old son wanted to go along as our "muscle"...

Re: Winners and Losers

The losers in my area: The restaurants because they did not have the fore thought to be open, especially during the lull between midnight and 5am openings. The winners in my area: Kmart and Menards had employees outside with the lines to prevent line jumpers; everything was orderly. Walmart hired &q...

Re: Do the ads come in the Wednesday or the Thanksgiving pap

No Thanksgiving Day paper here, so we get our ads on Wednesday. For once I am thankful to live in the middle of nowhere. :)

Re: Am I Getting Too Old?

I really don't care if I make it out this year. There are a few things I'd like to purchase, but the way the sale times are spread out from early Thanksgiving morning and onward, I'd rather stay in and shop online. I work full time, am in the dissertation phase of my PhD, and have two kids (a toddle...

Re: Sickness & weather

I'll join the ranks of the sick. Finally broke down and went to walk-in clinic today after 4 weeks of a lingering cough. I walked out with 5 different prescriptions. On another note, the whiskey, honey, lemon route seems to be more popular than ever. While in the grocery store this afternoon, I hear...

Re: This is sad...I know.

Can you substitute teach? In my state the only requirements are that you pass a background check and have 60 college hours (any area).
