Re: JC Penney
The one thing I dislike about JCP's "sales" is the rebates (and the lack of Disney globes!). Those of you who have submitted for the rebates, do you think it was worth it? How quickly did you get the rebates?

We did, too! Our store didn't have very many, maybe 50, so we just got one. Nice to have them all, but will miss this coveted item of Black Friday!

Shark vacuum from Kohl's & 43" TV from Target. Done.
Will still brave the ice & such Thursday evening to be a part of the fracas, though.

Re: Why it be so DEE-EEE-DEE Dead here?
I've been hanging around these forums for 9 years.... wow, 9! For me, the excitement just isn't there anymore, as even our secret club of "leakers" has become part of the commercialized process. I mean, look at the scans we have now-- they're not leaks . Remember the good ol' days of crapp...

Re: Keurig coffeemaker questions
I've got one of the originals, and it's served me well, one cup at a time, for years. I also have a Mr. Coffee brand that uses K-Cups in my office at work. I buy a box of cups from Costco every couple of months (digging Dunkin Donuts cups now!), so roughly $40 gets me 1-2 cups/day. The only benefit ...

I'm still lurking. And still not quite a fan of this "Black Thursday" starting time. Just not the same. But, looking for a PS4 for me this year, so I might have to get involved!

Re: Anyone else having an empty feeling this BF season?
Oh, whew, it's not just me! Last year, with pretty much everywhere opening Thursday, it really took the thrill out of it all for me. Anyone can go to a store in the evening, but that challenge of getting up early and freezing your tuchas off at 3:00am for that 5:00am opening was part of the sport! I...

The best: JCP brings back the Disney snow globes!
I don't know why I love these things, but I have all of 'em, and was pretty disappointed last year when they didn't have them. I think this is the only thing I'm doing Friday morning-- gettin' a globe!

I cut the cord about 3 years ago, and I would recommend a Roku to anyone in a heartbeat. I think Walmart will have the basic Roku for $39.99, which has been good enough for me.
I'm tempted to try Google's ChomeCast-- $35, but I think it's a bit too new...I think I'll wait for the next version.

Re: Did the old JCP free snow globe promotion actually work?
I'm pretty bummed. I think mostly because my OCD will kick in and hate having my snow globes end with an odd number.
I think we've always purchased at least something at JCP-- the last few years they had some pretty decent coupons that made it easy to get socks & gloves pretty cheap.

Have patience and don't think you're entitled to whatever it is you came for. Things will be nuts, people will be rude and tired, and stores will run out of stuff and have ignorant staff members who really couldn't care less if you don't get your widget. Be humane. Be courteous. Be a better person. ...
