Payless ShoeSource is Closing

I was disappointed to hear that Payless is closing. :( They were my go to store for inexpensive ballet shoes and other types of shoes. When they ran their Buy 1 Get 1 50% off sales, it made shoe shopping for the children a bit more affordable.

But that's if you're considering it on Friday. By Friday most of the sales are over. ;)

Ah, yes, you've got a point, if you only shop before Black Friday.

261 days to Black Friday or 36 weeks to Black Friday Friday week. :)

Re: Share your 2018 Black Friday experience

Wednesday we started our shopping at Old Navy. It was beautiful sunny weather. Then we took the rest of Wednesday and all of Thursday to focus on Thanksgiving and hosting dinner. Today, we got up at 4:30 am, ate breakfast and then started shopping at AC Moore at 5 am. The temperature at 5 am was 15 ...

Re: How much do you spend on black friday?

We usually spend between $500 -$1000. Since my husband passed away a few months ago, we were Black Friday aholics and both loved it and even camped out years ago at Best Buy. I am actually not going to any stores this year and only buying on line. I'm sorry to hear that your husband passed away thi...

Re: How much do you spend on black friday?

I'd say somewhere between $200 and $300 has been spent in the past. We set a budget in September and stick to it. As the children get older, they don't want as many things so we are doing less shopping.

Re: Did you buy your turkey yet

I usually pick one up the Friday before Thanksgiving. If you spend so much money at the grocery store, then you get a free turkey. This year, I got it early. The store was so peaceful on Monday when I was doing grocery shopping. The thought of coming back later in the week and dealing with the frenz...

Re: How do you get your ads?

I use more than one way to get the ads. Sometimes I check the site and I'm happily surprised with the newest ad. Other times, I'm reading through emails and I see a BFads email. When I'm waiting at the medical offices, I will use the BFads app. I do not want to miss out on an ad scan.

Re: Diabetic on Black Friday

I'm glad that you are on the mend and trying to figure out how to do BF shopping. :D I'm not diabetic. I have a friend who is. I was wondering if you might be able to find a small soft cooler that you could carry with you or at least keep in the car. It could hold a small ice pack and the refrigerat...
