Is black Friday camp out dying?

I used to camp out every year at best buy 1st in line year after year.
This year it was a few clicks at online Amazon and best buy and shopping done.

The reason is it was cheaper and less hassle for me.

Do you still camp out? Or do you feel camp outs for black Friday are a dying tradition?
Thanks .

Re: Question regarding Laptops (retails tore related).

Lubuntu is a simpler solution for me than Win 7 was and Win 8 is just no IMHO.
I just download Lubuntu, simple install and then I just use it.
Went all this year without being bothered about viruses or updates since if it works then why update it??

Re: Question regarding Laptops (retails tore related).

Windows??....please!!
The first thing I do to a new laptop is wipe Windows and install a free Ubuntu/Xubuntu/Mint, etc. Linux OS.
Then with WINE I can run the Windows programs with no viruses headaches.

Re: need help! can't get rid of virus

http://www.avast.com/en-us/free-antivirus-download I prefer kaspersky IMHO: I prefer not haveing to think about a virus prone laptop/desktop/server. MINT OS is better. No viruses on Mint, Edubuntu, Kubuntu, Ubuntu, etc. All free.....all the time......my fav. words. Viruses/repair charges was the mai...

Re: Hard drive prices increasing!!! argggghhh!!!!

1 to 2 TB hard drives are going to be the me want item.
Check the ads but most are going to be 99+ this year.

As an alternative I am going to get a 750 GB drive for 49 dollars to tide me over until the hard drive crunch passes.

The scripts are finished. I just need to run them when I get home and fix any remaining bugs. The, I'll retrieve all the web pages and generate the spreadsheet. It should be ready tomorrow or Sunday. The spreadsheet will be a CSV format file, following what I believe to be Excel-compatible CSV rule...

My expectation ? I expect to be trampled, cutoff for the handicap spot, pushed, shoved, spat at, cursed, have someone spill hot coffee on me, almost be in 8 traffic accidents and be stuck next in line behind someone that has an issue with the way every, single, item has been scanned/rung up on the ...

Re: How hard is it to write up a Christmas list?

A week ago, I asked my family members for Christmas lists. Tuesday, I hadn't heard from anyone so I asked again. Sister in law replies she's working on one for her and my brother. I replied and let her know I wanted it by Friday since I was planning my Black Friday shopping on Saturday. I still hav...

Anyone who really has a problem with the midnight opening times should email the corporate offices of these retail stores. I emailed Target, and Kohl's. I received an email back saying the marketing departed thought competing with the other stores would bring more sales. Tell the these companies yo...

Re: Office Max Toshiba laptop

Toshiba! FTW!
For a faster laptop create a USB startup disk from the laptops os and then wipe the laptop and install from the usb drive to get a clean os install without the slackware/malware present on new "optimized" laptops.
