Apple tablets: Can't run Flash - Trust me, you don't need it. I've had iOS for years now and I do a touch of everything in IT and I've never needed it. The iPad 37 will be out in a month. - Way off base here. Probably 1 new iPad a year, vs the countless competitor tablets always being introduced. A...

I actually had a line jumper for the e-machines laptop at our walmart in frankfort ky. I'm actually uploading a video on youtube right now to show how bad black friday was at our walmart at midnight, that also happens to show the woman who ends up line jumping originally being told that there were n...

I will never buy from ecost again.

Purchased 2 logitech wave keyboards from them. The boxes were in rough shape, labels were peeled off and looked repackaged. The usb extension hub for one of them didn't work and the keyboards actually looked used, even though they were advertised as new.

Sorry I haven't gotten to reply to this thread again, but I agree that avast is good. Also, I like using the firefox web browser with adblock plus. You hardly ever see any advertisements. Some times ads can spread malware, so not loading those can perhaps protect you and prevent you from accidentall...

$198 Laptop at Walmart

I wrote this for my tech blog, which I don't update much thanks to graduate school, but I thought I would share with my friends here as well. I have been a lurker for 3 or so years here now, so I do feel like I know some of you all even if my post count is low. Maybe show some appreciation by going ...

There were a couple of decent values but overall it was severely lacking. I assume they will have an actual black friday sale as well.

Not impressed with the CPU. 2GB of RAM is sufficient. Depending on the preloaded software on the machine it might crawl out of the box with Win 7 x64. I would consider this machine to put XP on, but if I had to do that I would rather get one of the smaller netbooks for even less on black friday.

I have the 42" Polaroid, it is excellent. Not the best contrast ratio but I have absolutely no problems with it. Owned it over a year. I bought a 40 inch LCD Polaroid to watch tv as well as connect my pc. After the warranty had expired about 13 months the tv died while restarting the computer. ...
