ASUS RTN65U Dual-Band Wireless-N750 Gigabit Router w/ 2 USB 3.0 SharePort - $49.99 at Newegg

Today through September 22nd, Newegg is offering the ASUS RTN65U Dual-Band Wireless-N750 Gigabit Router for $49.99 with coupon code EMCPAWD28. It received 4 out of 5 stars with 96 customer reviews. The next best price for this router is $76.95 from Amazon. For a more in-depth look, check out this review from SmallNetBuilder. Their mixed review should be taken with a grain of salt. The models they compare it against are better in some aspects when prices are around $89.99, but today's deal has a much hotter price making it a more competitive choice.

Although this router is only wireless N, it is dual band which makes a big impact when running older devices (2.4GHz band) along side newer products like Xboxs and Playstations (5GHz band). Most devices today come standard with wireless N; the only ones that take advantage of advanced wireless AC are high-end laptops and smartphones. If you're not buying one of those two things in the next year, you'll get a lot of use out of this router at a great price. For those renting a modem/router combo from their Internet or TV provider, this will likely outperform what you are currently using.
