Earlier this week Walmart put out a press-release detailing their Three Days of Unmatched Holiday Savings. Usually press-releases are fluff pieces and only feature information we already know from the Black Friday sale advertisements; not this one. Walmart starts by announcing that not only will they be price-matching all their competitors Black Friday (including door-buster) sales, but you can do so at the register when you check-out!
Walmart will also be having almost 150 online-only specials at Walmart.com starting Thanksgiving Day, including the following items:
- RCA 37" LCD HDTV – $399
- Acer Purple Netbook Bundle (includes case and flash drive) – $248
- Kodak M530 Camera Bundle (includes case and 4GB memory card) – $79
- Nintendo DSi Bundle (includes choice of two games and accessory kit) – $169
Then, starting Friday at midnight, Walmart will begin their in-store Black Friday specials (door-busters won't be available until 5am). Most of the items listed in the press release were items included in their Black Friday advertisement, but there is one glaring exception: All Nintendo Wii gaming systems – $199 with $50 Walmart Gift Card.
The only Nintendo Wii console featured in the Black Friday ad is the Walmart.com-only Nintendo Wii Limited Edition Red Console Value Bundle w/ New Super Mario Bros Game for $249.00 with no mention of the $50 discount. Note that the in-ad Walmart.com bundle includes a bonus Epic Mickey video-game, Wii Remote Plus and Wii Nunchuck Controller that accounts for the $50 price-difference between the two consoles ($199 vs $249).
