In a move that is much appreciated, Walmart has provided us with an update on which items will be available for their online sale and which items are in-store only; that's the good news.
The bad news is that, of the 422 items featured in their Black Friday advertisement, almost a quarter of them are in-store only. We've updated our Walmart Black Friday ad listing to reflect these changes.
Among the items that you will only be able to get in-store are the Compaq 15.6" Laptop for $198, the Emerson 40" 1080p HDTV for $248, the Xbox 360 4GB Console w/ Kinect and $50 Gift Card for $199.96 and all the $10/$15/$28 video-games featured on page 9.
This, unfortunately, appears to be a much different strategy than what Walmart did last year when they put a good majority of their doorbusters for sale online. Maybe Walmart's game-plan will change in the next couple days, but as it currently stands, it looks the best deals in Walmart's ad will be in-store only.
Only 267 items' status were provided to us, so we're not entirely sure what's going on with with remaining items. One way to check when and where the product will be on sale is to look at the item on Walmart's site where there will be a note that says if the item is available in-stores, online or both.
