Competitors Answer to Prime Day

Prime Day 2016 starts tomorrow at midnight! In response to Amazon's Prime Day event, tons of their competitors are hosting special sales this week. A handful of them are already live, and we expect deals to ramp up in both quality and quantity once Amazon shows what they have planned. A preview of their deals was revealed via press release today.

Don't forget to sign up for Amazon Prime to be ready for tonight's big event! We'll update this story with more sales as they are announced.

Prime Day and Other Sales Aside from their daily deals, eBay doesn't have any special promotions live yet, but we think they have something planned. They tweeted that they'll have "Exclusive for Everyone" deals going live at 9PM PST tonight, and updated their homepage to say the same thing.

Woot! will be holding PrimoDay tomorrow, but that's about all we know for now. Sometimes Woot! has crazy-good deals, and sometimes they're just being sarcastic, but either way we are excited to see what they have planned.

Rakuten will be offering 10% back in Rakuten Super Points with coupon code "10BACK" sitewide from July 12th to July 13th. This promotion will stack with other offers as well.

Walmart is hosting a Dare to Compare sale with thousands of rollbacks, complete with real-time price comparisons that meet or beat Amazon's. To make things even sweeter, they're offering free shipping with no required minimum purchase from now through Friday, July 15th. If you're interested in Unlimited Free 2-Day Shipping to get your items faster, you can sign up for a free trial of Walmart's ShippingPass!

Kohl's is offering Beat the Heat Buys, with new daily deals every day from now through July 14th. Categories in this sale focus on clothing and home items.

JCPenney's Penney Palooza sale is going on today and tomorrow. You'll get an extra 25% off the lowest price listed with coupon code "NEWLOOK6" at checkout. In addition, their free shipping threshold has dropped from $99 to $49.

Newegg's Fantastech Sale has teaser deals live right now. The full sale is going live late tonight. Last year Newegg ran a similar promotion, but like Prime Day 2015, it left a lot to be desired. Hopefully this year we'll see something hotter than their everyday selection with a different name slapped on it.

Dell is hosting a Black Friday in July Pre-Sale today, and we expect the doorbuster deals to get even hotter. According to this link, you can shop the full Black Friday in July sale starting on July 12th, and this link says the event is July 14th. Regardless of the date, make sure to check this promotion out if you're in the market for a new PC or TV.

Best Buy casually updated their website today by throwing some shade, saying "Deals for All. No Membership Needed." However, the deals so far aren't looking too hot, whether a membership is required or not. Best Buy might be keeping their plans close until they see what Amazon has to offer.

We've heard that Macy's might be holding a special promotion beginning tomorrow. More to come.

Sears hasn't yet announced any special sales, but several of our members have reported $30 in Surprise Points being added to their account. This offer may be targeted, but it's worth checking out, especially if it ends up being the case that Sears is preparing for a big sale this week.

Toys R Us is holding a Super Brands Sale from today through Friday. All week you can get discounts like 30% off select Legos or 25% off Monster High items. Tomorrow there are special deals, like 15% off regularly-priced items sitewide.

Forever 21 is holding a Black Friday in July sale, with up to 70% off sale prices and free shipping on $50 or more. This offer runs through July 12th. Last year they stacked free shipping no minimum on top of sale prices to compete with Prime Day, so if you can stay patient the deals might get even sweeter.

Today Only!

Gap is offering up to 60% off select items, plus an extra 40% off with coupon code "SUN". Keep in mind that this discount may get even better tomorrow.

Bon-Ton is hosting a Cyber Monday sale. There are over 175 doorbusters available, plus take up to 25% off sale price merchandise with coupon code "CYBR25MONDY". Shipping is free on orders over $25 with coupon code "FREESHIP25".

Target and will not be participating in any special sales this week. We still expect to hear from competitors like Buydig and eBay. You can click here to see last year's Prime Day Competitor Sales.
