Top 10 Walmart Black Friday 2016 Deals

Top 10 Walmart Black Friday 2016 Deals

Walmart's Black Friday advertisements and promotions have seen a lot of innovation and garnered a lot of excitement over the last few years. They follow the trend of opening on Thanksgiving instead of Black Friday, but have also experimented with 1 hour in stock guarantees and tiered Black Friday events that had doorbusters dropping at different times throughout the day. All of that craziness (except for opening on Thanksgiving) appears to be a thing of the past, as Walmart has ditched those antics and stuck to what they do best: living up to their expectation of having some of the best doorbusters on Black Friday. We've combed through their 36 page ad and picked what we feel are the 10 best deals found within.

1. Philips 55" 4K UHD Smart TV - $298.00

Right out of the gate, prominently featured on the front page of Walmart's ad is arguably the best all-around deal in 4K UHDTV this Black Friday. Not only is this one of the best prices around for a 4K of this size, it's also from a trusted brand with a non-holiday SKU that lets us learn more about this deal. The Philips 55" 4K UHDTV features 3 HDMI ports and one set of shared component/composite jacks along with Smart features. This is the textbook definition of a doorbuster, so make plans to be in line if you want to get your hands on this headliner of a deal when Walmart opens their doors at 6PM on Thanksgiving.

2. PlayStation 4 Slim Uncharted Bundle w/ $30 Gift Card - $249.00

Sony's flagship console offering this year is the newly released PlayStation 4 Slim Uncharted 4 bundle, which includes the 500GB Slim console, DualShock 4 controller, and the marquee title, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Lots of retailers are knocking $50.00 off the price of this bundle for Black Friday, but Walmart makes this Uncharted bundle a treasure by tossing in a $30.00 Walmart gift card.

3. Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite with $10 Google Play Card - $69.00

There are always a slew of budget tablets on Black Friday, many offered for well below $100. The biggest problem with these tablets is they are usually from questionable manufacturers with dubious or non-existent reputations. Walmart lets you have the best of both worlds with the Galaxy Tab E Lite, a 7" Android tablet from Samsung, a leader in Smart devices. Walmart is even tossing a card worth $10.00 in Google Play credit to make this deal even sweeter and to get you on your way with your new Galaxy tablet.

4. 40" Element or Hisense 1080p HDTV - $125.00

Shoppers who couldn't care less about 4K and are instead looking to grab a hot deal on a 1080p set should set their sights on their local Walmart. Depending on your store, you'll find either an Element or Hisense brand 40" 1080p HDTV for only $125.00, each featuring 3 HDMI ports. This is one of the best deals on an HDTV of this size this Black Friday, so expect to leave (or never sit down at) that Thanksgiving dinner table to be in line for this deal when Walmart opens their doors at 6pm Thursday.

5. HP 15.6" AMD-A10 Touchscreen Laptop Bundle (15-ba051wm) - $349.00

Walmart has one of the best all-around deals on a well-equipped laptop on page 8 of their Black Friday ad. Sure, there are less expensive laptops on Black Friday, some on the very same page, but it's hard to get better bang for your buck than this 15.6" touchscreen, quad-core AMD A10 laptop with 8GB RAM and a 1TB hard drive for $349.00, especially when you consider the extras found in this bundle. The loved one on your shopping list will not only have a laptop with RAM and storage to spare, but they'll get a protective sleeve, wireless mouse, and a 16GB flash drive to get them started.

6. Polaroid Instant Digital Camera Bundle - $84.00

This deal is a tale of consumer electronics coming full circle. Instamatic cameras died an uneventful death with the advent of digital cameras, and digital cameras are currently being strangled by camera phones, whose most popular photo sharing app is Instagram that makes photos look just like Polaroids. Now all of sudden, Polaroid is back with a new instamatic camera that has been quietly gaining popularity with young people who love the novelty of an analog photo. Who knew? Walmart did apparently, and that's why this camera deal has secured a place on our top 10 list. If someone on your shopping list is wishing for an instamatic, you can't beat the Polaroid bundle deal, which offers a discount on the camera and includes a carrying case, 8GB microSD card, and a 10 pack of paper.

7. Assorted Small Kitchen Appliance Deals - $9.76

Despite being 4 cents higher than last year's deal, the assortment of small kitchen appliances found in Walmart's ad deserves a bit of attention. As we detailed in our Dark Horse Deals articles, small appliances and kitchenware are some of the best overall deals you can find on Black Friday. For under $10.00, you can take home a blender, griddle, electric skillet, fryer, slow cooker, or coffee maker from trusted brands like Black and Decker and Faberware. You can also grab an assortment of kitchen items from Better Homes and Gardens for the same price, which includes kitchen necessities like strainers, measuring cups, measuring spoons, and more.

8. Vizio 60"1080p HDTV (D60N-E3) - $398.00

For some, the best part of the rise of 4K UHDTV is that 1080p HDTV prices have begun to plummet. While everyone rushes onto the next big thing and pays top dollar for it, those of us whom are content to let someone else sort the kinks out of 4K can enjoy some of the lowest prices ever seen on HDTV, evidenced by Walmart's sub-$400 offering from Vizio. This set only has two HDMI ports, but for $300.00 less than our 60" overall HDTV pick last year, somehow we'll manage.

9. Hatchimals – Burtle Walmart Exclusive - $48.88

Hatchimals are emerging as this year's Tickle-Me Elmo, as mania appears to be setting in the closer we come to Christmas. Walmart apparently is content to throw gasoline onto the ol' Yule log by not only having an exclusive purple and teal Hatchimal in Burtle, but also offering a near 20% discount on this impossible to find item, and advertising it for Black Friday! No matter what you're after on Thanksgiving, you are bound to have to try and squeeze past parents who are determined have one of these furry, hatching animatronic toys under their tree.

10. Blu-Ray and DVD Deals

Year in and year out, Blu-ray and DVD deals are some of the best bargains to be found on Black Friday, and this year Walmart as a wide selection to help you fill out stockings or your own theater collection. For under $10, you can grab some of 2016's biggest hits on Blu-ray such as Independence Day Resurgence, Ghostbusters, 13 Hours, Deadpool, 10 Cloverfield Lane (Staff Rating 5/5 stars), or Captain America Civil War. If you're trying to catch up on seasons of your favorite television series, the same $9.96 can get you full seasons of Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Empire, Gotham, or Orange is the New Black. These, of course, are just a smattering of the wide selection available, so check out pages 5 and 6 of the Walmart ad to see feature deals on your favorite titles.
