Top 10 Target Black Friday 2016 Deals

Top Ten Target Black Friday 2016 Deals

Year in and year out, Target has one of the most anticipated Black Friday ads, featuring deals that run the gamut of the most desired Black Friday items including HDTVs, video games, notebook PCs, kitchen appliances, and more. For Black Friday purists, unfortunately Black Thursday continues to be a thing, with most major retailers opening on Thanksgiving Day -- Target included. If Target is where you plan to be when they open their doors at 6pm Thursday, there is a slew of deals from a wide assortment of categories to choose from. We've painstakingly sorted through Target's ad to highlight what we consider to be the top deals you'll find this holiday.

1. Hisense 50" Smart 4K UHDTV - $249.99

Featured prominently on the front page of Target's Black Friday ad is one of the best deals on a 50" UDHTV this Black Friday, making it a shoo-in for one of Target's best deals. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, special Black Friday SKUs are a Black Friday tradition, and here is a classic example of why they won't be going away. Despite being slim on details such as number of HDMI ports, at one of the lowest prices ever seen for a 50" 4K UHDTV, there is little room to nitpick.

2. Xbox One S 500GB w/ Battlefield 1 or Minecraft + $40 Gift Card - $249.99

Target has one of the best deals around this Black Friday on the two Xbox One S bundles found on store shelves this holiday. There are a lot of stores offering either the Battlefield 1 or Minecraft bundle, which includes either of the named titles and a 500GB Xbox One S console for $249.99. Only at Target, however, do you have a choice of either bundle on top of a $40.00 Target gift card tossed in to sweeten the deal.

3. Element 43" 4K UHDTV - $199.99

It's amazing how quickly the price of 4K UHDTVs are dropping, evidenced by the fact that this $199.99 4K UHDTV didn't even make the front page of Target's ad. While price and competition have become fierce enough to push this special Black Friday SKU out of the limelight, it's still one of the top deals at Target, and one of the lowest priced under 50" UHDTVs you'll find anywhere on Black Friday.

4. HP 15.6" Laptop w/ AMD A10 Possessor, 1TB HDD (15-ba042nr) - $259.99

Target is not the first store that comes to mind when one thinks of where to shop for a new laptop. Despite not being a leading notebook PC dealer, Target has skin in the game for the best laptop deal every Black Friday. The deal found on page 8 of Target's Black Friday ad keeps that tradition alive by being one of the best all-around deals on a 15.6" laptop. For $259.99, shoppers can pick up this AMD A10-powered quad core laptop, which features a 1TB hard drive and 4GB of RAM. Sure, this machine might not be a powerhouse, but for under $300.00, those who need a laptop for productivity and web browsing can certainly do worse.

5. Apple Deals

It's a well-known fact in Black Friday circles that Apple does not discount their products, regardless of the time of year. The last few years, retailers have taken matters into their own hands by offering subsidized discounts in the form of gift cards or other freebies. For the second year running, however, Target has been one of the best places to shop for Apple products by offering actual cash discounts on highly sought after Apple tech. For iPads, Target discounts every tier of Apple's top-selling tablet line, with a $150.99 discount on the 9.7" iPad Pro (starting at $449.99), $125.99 discount on the iPad Air 2 (starting at $274.00), and $70.20 discount on the iPad Mini 2 (starting at $199.79). Target is also offering a 20% discount across the board on all iPods and a $71.99 discount on the Apple Watch (series 1). While there is no cash discount on iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, Target is offering $0 down and a $250.00 Target gift card on either phone to help soften the blow.

6. Dyson Vacuum Deals

Vacuums rank right up there with clothes and exercise gear as some of the most boring gifts to unwrap on Christmas morning. Still, the steep discounts on Dyson vacuums might make the disappointment on your loved one's face worth it! On the lightweight and easy to maneuver Dyson V6 Animal cordless vacuum, shoppers can save a massive $200.00 when they pick up this vacuum for $299.99, one of the steepest discounts in Target's ad. The full-sized Dyson Ball Origin sees a similarly price cut at $199.99, a $150.00 savings.

7. T-fal Nonstick Cookware 20pc Set - $49.99

One of the Dark Horse Deals found each and every Black Friday is discounts on house and kitchenware. Nestled back on page 34 of Target's ad is one of the best Dark Horse deals you'll find this Black Friday. At $49.99, shoppers can save 50% on this T-Fal cookware set that includes a variety of pots, pans, and utensils that covers just about every cooking need in the kitchen.

8. Polaroid 32" LED HDTV - $85.00

There probably won't be people lined up down the block to get their hands on any 32" HDTV this Black Friday. These tiny sets may not garner the kind of fanfare that their big brothers drum up every year, but if you're in the market for a small set for a guest room, kids bedroom, or anywhere a large set just won't fit, Target has one of the best deals for a 32" HDTV. For $85.00, you'll get this no-frills 32" Polaroid 720p 60Hz HDTV with 3 HDMI ports. Keep in mind, this set doesn't list any component or composite jacks, so make sure any devices you plan to hook up to this set are HDMI-enabled.

9. Assorted Video Game Titles

Shoppers with a gamer on their wishlist (or those that just want to fill out their own library) can find discounts at Target on games for just about every current-gen system. For $35.00, shoppers can choose from a variety of the year's biggest titles, including Overwatch (XB1, PS4), Battlefield 1 (XB1, PS4), Titanfall 2 (XB1, PS4), and Super Mario Maker (Wii U). For $6.00 less, you can take home Fifa or Madden 17 (XB1, PS4), Skyrim Special Edition (XB1, PS4), Gears of War 4 (XB1), and more. Nintendo rarely discounts their marquee 3DS titles, but at Target, you can snag Pokemon X, Alpha/Sapphire, Kirby Planet Robobot, and Super Smash Bros for $25.00. Less expensive budget titles include such hits as Ratchet and Clank (PS4), and Fallout 4 (XB1, PS4), for $15.00 each, and $8.00 gets you Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the lowest price ever for the latest installment of Ubisoft's storied franchise.

10. Action Figure Bundles

Action figures are some of the most fun gifts for children to unwrap on Christmas, but each and every year, parents face the inevitable problem when they head to the toy section: All the good figures are gone! Kids don't want Booster, they want Turboman! Toy manufacturers have answered these problems by selling complete sets of some of the hottest toys, and Target makes it a Christmas miracle with some Black Friday discounts. Save $20.00 off the Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice 6pk of 12-inch figures which actually includes almost all of the Justice League. Parents can also save on either the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 6 pack, which includes all four Turtles plus fan favorite baddies Beebop and Rocksteady, or the Star Wars Rogue One 12" figure 6 pack, which includes all the heroes and villains of the upcoming film. If you have a Minecraft fan, Target is also advertising a $20.00 discount on the Minecraft Night of the Zombies playset, which includes zombies, fencing, and even an iron golem.
