Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Regardless of the naysayers, Call of Duty is back and hopes for new successes with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Set in the year 2054, you’ll use brand-new exosuits that give you increased speed, strength, and firepower to take on enemies. Created by Sledgehammer Games, the same team that worked with Infinity Ward on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, players will get thrust back into the world of the wildly popular military-based shooter and learn why “power changes everything.”
Advanced Warfare will offer its usual mix of story-driven single-player gameplay along with its popular multiplayer arena. In the single-player campaign, you’ll take on the role of Private Jack Mitchell, a Marine who joins up with the Atlas Corporation as they rise to levels of power that rival countries. The head of the Atlas Corporation, Jonathan Irons, is played by Kevin Spacey.
Of course, not everyone who picks up a Call of Duty game is looking for the single-player campaign. There’s something new for multiplayer gamers as well. Exosuits allow players to perform new maneuvers such as cloaking; they can also assist players in becoming faster and stronger. New Scorestreaks help you command the battlefield. Examples include the XS1 Vulcan, which lets you fire on enemies with an overhead orbital laser, or the XS1 Goliath, an advanced suit of armor which gives additional health and weaponry.
