The concept of "stealth in plain sight" offered a unique take on the stealth genre when the first Assassin's Creed hit shelves back in 2007. The fifth title in the hit series (not counting the numerous iterations on mobile platforms) is curiously titled Assassin's Creed 3, and is one of the most anticipated games of 2012.
Traditionally, the Assassin's Creed games have taken place in Europe during the Third Crusade and in the 15th and 16th century. For fans of the series, one of the most unique and promising aspects of this particular version is its radical departure in setting. This time around, players embody half-English, half-Native American Connor Kenway, who must defend his homeland against Colonial British soldiers during the American Revolution. The game will offer exploration of colonial-era Boston and New York in addition to hunting on the colonial frontier, as well as navigating the eastern seaboard by land and sea.
