Target has issued a press release that indicates a major price matching policy update starting October first. You can now price match digital retailers at Target.com. Target has expanded their price matching window so that you now have 14 days to submit your price match. They have also added retailers to the list of stores they will price match. The full list of merchants Target will price match, according to the press release:
Amazon.com, Babiesrus.com, BedBathBeyond.com, Bestbuy.com, BN.com, Buybuybaby.com, Costco.com, CVS.com, Diapers.com, DicksSportingGoods.com, Drugstore.com, Gamestop.com, JCPenney.com, Kmart.com, Kohls.com, Macys.com, Newegg.com, Officedepot.com, Petco.com, Petsmart.com, Samsclub.com, Sears.com, SportsAuthority.com, Staples.com, Target.com, Toysrus.com, Ulta.com. Walgreens.com, Walmart.com and Wayfair.com.
Target does take into account that they have both Target specific coupons and their mobile app Cartwheel. Price matching includes both of these, and says that the price must be lower AFTER using Cartwheel and a coupon, before they'll offer price match. They will also only offer one price match per item, meaning you can't buy two identical items and price match on both of them. Price matching can only be done at the customer service desk.
