Target Black Friday 2013 Sale to Start on Thanksgiving

Target Black Friday Start Time In perhaps a sign of things to come, Target has updated their Black Friday landing page to now advertise a three day sale that begins on Thanksgiving. No start time is given, but if we had to guess, we'd put our money on another 8pm start.

Last year Target began their Black Friday sale at 9pm on Thanksgiving, an hour later than their biggest competitor, Walmart.

Bumping up their sale by an hour doesn't seem like too far of a stretch, especially considering that Kohl's, Macy's and JC Penney (stores who have traditionally had later starts) have all announced Thanksgiving starts for their Black Friday sales.

It looks like the trend of Black Friday starting on Thanksgiving is here to stay. The real question is whether or not any retailer will be brave (or foolish, depending on who you ask) enough to push the starting line up even earlier.
