UPDATE: Kevin Sutton reached out to us on our Facebook page and told us all about his donation efforts from last year. He donated over 2,000 pounds of food and clothing to Central Florida's homeless children. We're happy to say that we'll be sending Kevin a care package full of BFAds goodies as well as donating to his GoFundMe. If you'd like to help with his efforts, you can donate here. Good luck with the rest of your efforts, Kevin!
With just under one month to go, we have our first official report of a Black Friday camper!
Kevin Sutton of Florida is camping outside of Best Buy in Orlando already, and he has a few goals set for the next 33 days. Like hundreds of other shoppers, he wants to get his hands on a sweet TV deal this Black Friday. He's also trying to break the record set by two women in California last year (if he succeeds, he'll best them by 11 days).
There's a bigger cause for Sutton's camping than doorbusters and record-breaking. He'll be collecting donations for a charity called the Love Pantry that supplies necessities for Central Florida's 13,000 homeless children. He's no stranger to camping for a cause - last year, Sutton spent 15 days camping and raised over 3 tons of provisions.
You know we're all about Black Friday and Hot Deals here at BFAds, but we also try to give back. Every single cent of the profits from our Black Friday T-Shirt sales goes straight to charity. While we won't be camping out in the Wisconsin snow, we commend Kevin for his work as well as his shopping savvy - if this year is anything like last, Best Buy will be the king of Black Friday TV deals. Good luck, Kevin!
